ere you Go:
Great news for E7 owners specifically ( Symbian^3 ).
Please read below:
(.....You can buy a Nokia smartphone confident that any improvements introduced later to the Symbian platform, such as the user interface, can be made available to download on your device as well. No need to wait for Symbian^4 - the improvements we were planning for Symbian^4 will be introduced as and when they become available. In fact, we will no longer be talking about Symbian^3 or Symbian^4 at all – it will be one constantly evolving and constantly improving platform.)

But a Good Car Always Need A Proper Fuel To Run on A Long Driv... moreThe bigger the battery, the bigger the phone's dimensions will be: length, width, or thickness.
Also, everyone knows ,especially Android users, that Android devices drain batteries pretty fast.
But in return, it gives the user great functionality and experience.

Dexter, 20 Oct 2010I wanted to buy the Nokia N8. But now after reviewing the E7 I want to wait for this device. T... moreI think you should wait for Nokia N9. If you want a newer interface with more features, I would wait for MeeGo. I'm bored of my N95 8gb, but the functionality is almost the same as Symbian^3.
As for people think that Symbian require less ram and power, it's true. But if you want to browse the web, you need more Ram and processor power. More and more websites use Flash, so RAM is required.
Moreover, Symbian^3 is very laggy when you start booting up the device, like the N8.
If you don't care much about the camera, I say go for a better OS such as MeeGo and wait for the review.
I wanted to buy the Nokia N8. But now after reviewing the E7 I want to wait for this device. This is the exact kind of device that I had in mind. How long do I have to wait for this device???
Guys, did you have a look at: HTC Desire HD??!!!
It is really amazing phone even better than Galaxy S i9000.
Nokia please learn from your competitors how to make your phones strong in specifications
Nokia e7 gonna be more cheaper phone, compare with Nokia n8, coz no xenon flash, no dvix, no memmory card support and TOO HEAVY for pocket phone!
I am beginning to look forward to nokia n8, this was the phone which I actually wanted but don't think I can wait anymore.
Memory card is 1 of the things missing in this phone, but since there is 16gb memory and I actually never needed a memory card for my n97 so I think the memory won't effect this phone, plus usb connector fulfills the memory card
1 thing that is bothering me more is the weight, I have 2 phones in 1 pocket at a time, x10 and n97, both adds to 270grams, 135 each, but this e7 is 176g I really want the qwerty keyboard at the sametime which the n8 lacks....
Why in this Nokia E7 and in Nokia N8 just 25fps video, when iPhone4 had 30fps video camera?
Also no DivX support... .
I think nokia is gambling on it's customer loyalty, it's not offering them the best deals on the Market, it's always making phones that lack in certain ares, like poor screens, small storage sizes, format support etc... N they mid to make their system look much better for the end user, looking at the same interface for 3 years in a row is just plain boring.
This is for the people who dont understand the specifications of mobiles. The SYMBIAN mobiles are great multitasking systems, they need really less RAM and Processing power. So a 680 MHz CPU for SYMBIAN is enough to run that mobile like hell. Some says that's not enough for there mobiles. Sometimes (or i say most times), people leaves the background with lots of applications running, in which the WEB BROWSERS are most RAM Hungry programs
E7 look promising but it lacks a 2 things specially at time when it is being released and the phones it's going to compete with.
1GHz processor; 512 RAM (256 is less). But I am Nokia will come out with E7-00 with these things.
I liked no support for memory cards; phone will be faster. Waiting for the phone in India.
Why everyone here cries about the bloody camera? It's a phone ffs! And more importantly it's a business phone! take for example blackberry's camera - sh*te. If you're really a photo freak, get yourself a proper digital camera. The whole idea of the camera in phone is to be able to take random simple pictures time to time. Some of you here seem to be looking for professional camera with ability to call!! ????
For the number of functions this phone can produce and if it won't lag, it's the best out there (with the qwerty keyboard). As well as that, i've read some review where guys where running 10+ apps at the same time including couple of browsers and nfs game and it didn't lag at all, therefore why moaning about low processor/memory? if that's enough for the symbian OS why would you put bigger, which uses more battery or produces more heat? I don't think anyone's keen to see those iPhone4 messages about overheating phone! are you?
Crying about too weak processor without even trying the phone first is the last thing you guys should do!
