ShameOnNokia, 05 Oct 2010virtual memory is a joke. LOL most efficient hardware have no need for virtual memory because ... moreWow, you're obsession with Nokia bashing is just wow.
Nokia has already found a replacement for Ari Jaaksi; Peter Skillmanex-Palm VP of design has been hired as head of MeeGo User Experience and Services even before Jaaki announced his resignation-which is BTW still unofficial.
Carly Fiorina, former hp CEO, left hp and looks what happened to hp? Hewlett Parkard's global market share jumped from number 2 to number 1.
About the RAM, even w/ the less RAM, many Symbian phones can run 50 apps without problems; can you say the same for the iPhone 4 and Galaxy S?
All phones have their strengths and weaknesses. To completely diss a phone without sufficient and truthful info to back your claim up only make you look...
BTW, if you resort to name calling, you loss all your credibility.
I have an E71 for a some time now(happy with it)
Wanted to upgrade to N8 but seems I would never believe in N-series after the initial reviews of N8.
NOKIA plss release E7 ASAP.
why this world still last high res camera with fix focus ? is that we hate autofocus ? or nokia cant make autofocus accurate enough ?
Anonymous, 05 Oct 2010Well, the E7 can use virtual RAM up to 1GB in total RAM; that's more than 512MB in the Galaxy ... morevirtual memory is a joke. LOL most efficient hardware have no need for virtual memory because its highly inefficient when you consider it part of the OS. Virtual memory is the hardware version of digital zoom, i'm sure you think 10X digital zoom is an awesome feature don't you? :) Another one of Nokia's top management just jumped shipped, this time Jaaski, he was in charge of MeeGo. Doesn't look too promising huh? CEO's and executives jumping ship one after another, he must have not been too confident that MeeGo would be able to gain back diminishing profits so he left to find a better job before Nokia sinks down the hole.
Jos, 05 Oct 2010How can it be 1gb while the specifications state its 256mb...Swap memory! :)
scad, 05 Oct 2010does anyone know what the price of e7 will be?The phone is already available - just check the Nokia website.
0v0, 05 Oct 2010really, my self : i dont know what Nokia is up-to????
seems they are loosing their profession... moreWell, the E7 can use virtual RAM up to 1GB in total RAM; that's more than 512MB in the Galaxy S. And Symbian^3 doesn't require as much resource as android to begin with. Have you seen the review of the E5 where it can do true multitasking running 74 apps perfectly fine? With the stronger and more power-consuming/hungry CPU of the Galaxy S, can it even run 50 apps without long pausing and crawling/stuttering?
Also, the E7 uses the Broadcom BCM2727 which is presently the strongest GPU on the market.
