I agree, the n97 qwerty keyboard is more convinent, but E7 might not be bad either as no1 has a personal experience.

TYrone, 04 Oct 2010which is much better? digital zoom or optical zoom? need your opinion, thankssure optical zoom.
this zoom demand on the lens attached and won't sacrify the camera sensor size means fully taking picture on 100% sensor.
because the lens in handphone mostly small enough to zoom longer, then electronic zoom come to zoom further by using smaller sensor area. exp extra 2x zoom use 50% sensor. then is less clear picture you have.

so far, nokia n8 is the best on sensor size 1/1.83" and wider 28mm f2.8 lens. much better than many compact camera.
In photography, larger sensor size camera is much more expensive than smaller sensor size camera
maybe you can read like Nikon FX vs DX format explanation
large format> medium format> 35mm format> ASPC> 4/3> ....compact...
Hope this will help.

sure optical zoom.

all the zoom performed by lens and will fully ultilised all the sensor size.

after the maximum extend of your lens, in certain camera, you may further electronic zoom but it will use less sensor area. it will less clear. same as you draw a flower on the smaller drawing paper.

maybe you can check on photography website on sensor size.

I find it is too easy to accidentally hit the centre button when trying to navigate. With a touchscreen phone, I find that it is easier to simply touch the screen instead of moving a mouse pointer/cursor and then pressing the D-pad button. I cannot recall the last time I actually used the D-pad on the N97.

nazym, 04 Oct 2010and i was like screaming that it doesnt have autofocus , hopefully is not official...The E7 uses Extended Depth of Field instead of auto focus. EDoF enables objects in the foreground and background to all be focused. The camera is calibrated so that objects from 50cm to infinity are focused. The disadvantage is that extreme close-up shots cannot be focused.

TYrone, 04 Oct 2010which is much better? digital zoom or optical zoom? need your opinion, thanksofcourse optical zoom
Digital zoom will only makes u to look into a portion of image(illusioning that its been enalrged); but optical zoom is the real zoom but u gotta go for digital cameras

I think instead of four arrow keys in the qwerty keypad, they should have placed something like what they provided in N97. actually i am currently using N97 n i feel the navigation keys are so very convenient during surfing internet

TYrone, 04 Oct 2010which is much better? digital zoom or optical zoom? need your opinion, thanksDigital zoom will never be as good as optical Zoom. Digital zoom is interpolated pixels, its computer generated so it will never match real capture of real pixels.

hey guys i had the nokia n82 than i bought the communicator and both of them had the graphics accelerator. when using a phone with dedicated graphics the cpu is nothing( by the way 680 mhz is not bad specially for symbian os. i used the n82 and it was one of the best i had ever had.

in addition the symbian os got the same games running on android and iphone with the same quality( i heard that you can play multiplayer games with different os like running the asphalt 5 on the 3 os mentioned above)

i'm going to buy the n8 since i'm a camera lover( maybe the next year i'll buy the e7)
