360 x 640 pixels?!?!? Oh come on Nokia. Anything below 480 x 800 these days is a joke
Come on, you knew this post was coming. Here we have a prototype Nokia E7 and its new 4-inch, 640x360 pixel Clear Black Display pitted again the iPhone 4's 3.5-inch 960x640 pixel Retina display. To our eyes, the iPhone 4 display has a noticeable blue warmth and wasn't as vibrant or bright as the CBD. The CBD, however, did come across a bit oversatured (just look at those red "breaking news" bars), but hey, it's AMOLED. It certainly looks just as good as the Galaxy S' Super AMOLED. We'll have to see how the polarized layer on the CBD affects sunlight viewing. More on that later. Until then, play nice dear readers.
I hope it comes with the same ARM 11 680 MHz processor as of n8 and I'll be sure that Im gonna buy n8 ^_^
Gallardo, 12 Sep 2010I think lots of engineers here in this forum'll make this n9 like 8mp camera,xenon flash,meego... moreI think the problem is that the people who actively seek out and comment on phone websites are not your typical consumer. These people know what is out there, and want the best in one device. I can't blame them, but for the average consumer (the market most of these companies target), the specs we get are more than enough to satiate. The power users are always going to want bleeding edge, but it just isn't practical to make every phone a flagship.
Damn you E-7! Now I'm not so sure that I want N8 :(
But the resolution isn't to LOW for 4" display??? It's very low!
Nokia Nokia Nokia,
Why degrading your E7 keyboard. It's just like the useless N900 keyboard which I sold few months back due to lack of dedicated numeric keyboard. This phone should have copied the E90 keyboard then it will sell. I still have the E90 which has been with me since 2007. Please manufacture at capacitive screen for E90.
I have been waiting for a newer edition of E90 touch screen but looks like I am not going to be in luck
How is it possible to make video calls without secondary camer...... Future!! without video call is it possible?
The only thing i like about it is the USB on the go..
make it android, all buy it
Here is the difference as I see it from N8 (for new comers)
E7 vs. N8
- 4 inches display screen (vs 3.5" on N8)
- qwerty keyboard on E7
- Touch sensitive controls
- 8MP Camera (vs 12MP on N8)
- Dual-LED flash (vs Xenon on N8)
- 1GB ROM (vs 512MB on N8)
- Normal scratch resistant screen (vs Gorilla glass on N8)
- A little bigger and heavier than N8
E7 = 123.7 x 62.4 x 13.6mm (176g)
N8 = 113.5 x 59.1 x 12.9mm (135g)
tell me if I forgot other differences.
choose what suits you :)
