if you cant install apps that is because the app is unsigned, you should get a key and certificate to sign your apps

You either use the PC Suite to convert and transfer videos to your E71, or get a 3rd party video player like Coreplayer and use that.
By using the PC Suite, it would automatically convert it to a playable format.

Hi Anne,
Go to Menu > Installations > Application Manager > Settings > Software Installation > ALL
Try again. Certification error should be gone. Let me know if it works

I'm not sure... it could be that your SIM contacts and phone contacts are both saved. So now your phone is reading 2 entries for the same number. Instead of registering the name on your caller id, its just showing the number.
AS to why its prompting you to go online, I'm not sure. If all else fails, try upgradng your firmware to v500. You can bring your E71 to a Nokia Care center or you can do it yourself.
Download Ovi Suite and install on your PC. Use it to update the firmware for your phone. Goodluck

Queen, 09 Dec 2010My E71 doesn't support facebook, why is that?There's a Facebook App available from the Ovi Store. ALso, you can browse the mobile version of facebook using your web browser. THere are some features that you cannot use though, like the chat app, uploading pictures etc, but there are other apps out there that help you do it.Just browse through the Ovi Store and you'll find it all in there.

You have to physically go to a place that has a wifi network. Example of which are coffee shops, malls, hotels, etc. Take note that not all of them are free to connect to. You can also set up your own wifi network at home. What you need are:
1) A DSL / internet provider (like thru your landline phone or cable tv, they usually have a bundled internet service)
2) A wifi router. Most cost on average about $50. You can buy it from electronic shops. Some helpful brands are Dlink, Sisco, Belkin etc.
3) Connect your wifi router to your PC and connect your PC to the internet. There will be set up wizards to guide you through the installation.
Viola! You now have your own wifi network. You can connect your E71 and other gadgets like your laptop, gaming console, ipod / ipad.
Of course, the easiset way to get the net on your E71 is to just use your 3G right? :)

so far, I find the E71 to be the ‘perfect’ phone for my needs, very slim, solid, stable and elegantly designed smartphone
