Hopeless for business and hopeless for NokiaHello shaun, maybe you are right, but I have since a while an E71. never had any problem at all, never hangs..... in the weekend I upgraded the software to V400...., and also with the new software all seems to go very fine. I use the mobile very often to make internet calls with Fring and Nimbuzz and also here no problem. dunno.... to my opinion with the actual low price of the E71, maybe the best phone you can buy for the moment.

Why it took you 8 long months to understand Blackberry is a right solution to your problems. Look at you, you have undergone the pains in connectivity in every country you travelled and now you are standing at point where this pain is killing you and you are screaming Blackberry Blackberry with agony. I believe you must rush now and get a Blackberry Pill.

I have used E71 for 8 months and I think it is seriously flawed as a business device(email set up is too messy, each new country has to be configured via the hard to grasp 'access points' (why?), keyboard is way too cramped to use properly (leads to widespread miss spelling), camera is shockingly poor, menu structures are illogical and easy to get lost, needed a track-ball (pearl) from day1). So, on this basis th E72 is likely to be more of the same messy software and compromised features.
The only option for international mobile business is Blackberry. Period.

I own for about a week and I totally love it. I made phone calls to Russia and the sound is very clear, that all my friends on the other side of the planet were amazed - 3G is a biiiiiiiiiiiiiig difference compare to CDMA (which I used to use with Koodo).
As for the keyboard, it's good and I am comfortable with it. I prefer to hold the phone in my left hand and use my index finger - it works. :)

I really love my Nokia E71 Smart Phone, I had wanted something that would be a definite upgrade from the old one I had (which BTW I don't even know what the old Nokia I had was) and I purchased this one. I use it for everything, videos, photos, an MP4 player, and only recently did I finally start using all of the cool stuff on it, like the map loader and now the OVI store, which I haven't even fully looked at yet.
I have two separate cell numbers, and I'm going to purchase another one of these phones for that number as well.

to check for available RAM. Go to menu, 3rd to the last options, you will see memory details choose phone. and that's it.I have 47 free and hack applications on my phone.All working fine.Sometimes FREEZE.my current RAM is 82MB.hehe. That's too low and that's why it sometimes freezes.Also, if u browse on the web, cookies and some other stuff on the web pages are stored on your internal phone.You know some sort of HISTORY.That's why ur RAM decreases.
Updating ur phone firmware into a newer version will give u some new features and boost ur phones performance.U cannot downgrade it anymore one's u install the newer one or unless, u reinstall and reset ur phone's software(risky not recommended).u must download software updater from nokia site. And when u do, install it to ur computer then plug the miniUSB cable to ur phone then to ur comp.then follow the instructions carefully.Thats' it.
There are HUNDREDS of apps out there. Games, utilities,apps, everything for free ad wid a fee.
I love this phone.oh! wait I almost forgot. did i tell u that, I have 76 themes all in all in my phone.hehe.I have a software that automatically change my themes, so that i would'nt mind changing my theme manually.RESEARCH is the key for free apps.ahaha..Buy this phone then grip it tightly wid all ur might and power.Even the strongest man cannot crush the casing of the phone.very thick but slim.see for urself..how about crushing ur plastic phone and change to nokia e71.hahahaha

Here's what you do: Menu>Downloads>OVI Store. You can download and install the app directly from there. You will need to create a Nokia account to download files. It basically functions the same way as the application store. You can download free or paid apps.
P.S. welcome to the Nokia E71 users club. I have also transferred from the iPhone and I have to say, although the iphone is great, for my purposes (time manegment), this device is much better.
