to check for available RAM. Go to menu, 3rd to the last options, you will see memory details choose phone. and that's it.I have 47 free and hack applications on my phone.All working fine.Sometimes FREEZE.my current RAM is 82MB.hehe. That's too low and that's why it sometimes freezes.Also, if u browse on the web, cookies and some other stuff on the web pages are stored on your internal phone.You know some sort of HISTORY.That's why ur RAM decreases.
Updating ur phone firmware into a newer version will give u some new features and boost ur phones performance.U cannot downgrade it anymore one's u install the newer one or unless, u reinstall and reset ur phone's software(risky not recommended).u must download software updater from nokia site. And when u do, install it to ur computer then plug the miniUSB cable to ur phone then to ur comp.then follow the instructions carefully.Thats' it.
There are HUNDREDS of apps out there. Games, utilities,apps, everything for free ad wid a fee.
I love this phone.oh! wait I almost forgot. did i tell u that, I have 76 themes all in all in my phone.hehe.I have a software that automatically change my themes, so that i would'nt mind changing my theme manually.RESEARCH is the key for free apps.ahaha..Buy this phone then grip it tightly wid all ur might and power.Even the strongest man cannot crush the casing of the phone.very thick but slim.see for urself..how about crushing ur plastic phone and change to nokia e71.hahahaha

Here's what you do: Menu>Downloads>OVI Store. You can download and install the app directly from there. You will need to create a Nokia account to download files. It basically functions the same way as the application store. You can download free or paid apps.
P.S. welcome to the Nokia E71 users club. I have also transferred from the iPhone and I have to say, although the iphone is great, for my purposes (time manegment), this device is much better.

man...I wish nokia would make a simpler full qwerty phone without all the other stuff in it like gps and complicated and stuff...the most people who buy a smart phone is to brag with it and feel rich and important...I like them just because of the qwerty keyboard (more of a text person)it's easier to write with, I don't even need a colour screen, they should make a basic model like the nokia 1100 was...I don't wanna pay for something I don't need and don't use...they should make like a Nokia 1100 with a full qwerty keyboard...I woult totally buy 3 or 4 of them...

I got E71. It was working fine for 6 month and died suddenly. The Nokia dealer in UAE sucks, they are very uncooperative and prefer to get rid of customers... That was my first and last Nokia... I'm considering the BLAKBERRY ...

to all ppl who are complaining about the nokia e71, better check the retailer authenticity in selling such phones. I have already posted that issue. there are a lot of phone imitation out there! especially model of e71 and n95 8gb. so be careful guys.it should have the nokia warranty for 1yr! and made in korea or finland not in china!.my phone is 1 yr and 4 months.keypad is still in good shape.no erased letter or whatsoever. it did freeze ones because i installed a lot of software(free hehe..)so be careful guys for malicious software.install a good-known antivirus.and do remember this, always check the availability of ur ram (110 mb default)do not let it reach below 80mb. it will surely hang.disadvantage screen size, camera is average. all features superb!!!made in korea seal is the original product of nokia

the buttons of which i use for heavy texting does wear off.. but you know, it is as big as pinhole...!! only at the P, and A... it isn't even easily noticed..!! n i use it for almost one year... @arisa : try googling "go bible"

Hello everyone, i am an e66 owner (over an year now) and i am looking to "upgrade" to an e71, for what i`ve noticed that, overall it is reliable and all, however, i have a question(i din`t have the patience to go through the over 300 pages of comments here and i appologise for that) DO THE KEYS WEAR OFF? the writting on them i mean, i`ve seen the "dummy phones" in store with what was supposed to be a qwerty keyboard but was actually a sum of over 100 blank keys.
