don't buy this phone. i got mine 8 months ago and i have problem with it all the time. i have given it back for repairing 6 times so far and it still has the same "closing application" and "remove memory card and press ok" problem. You"d better buy some of the newest HTC,bleckberry or iphones...

Meanwhile let me suggest you a few handsets so then you can decide on one in case you're not so keen on buying the E72.
Try the E55, E75 and the N97.

I run Fring, Nimbuzzzzzz, Nokia Email client with three accounts, Google Maps Latitude and kaspersky antivirus SW. That makes it seven progs. And no hanging. I also run Joiku WiFI router during daytime to make it eight.
And still left with 98 MB free phone memory. Great phone.
Are you using google maps? If not start using now onwards. Latitude gives my location all the time in realtime. Even with running google maps. You can check from my site www.theroyaldelicious.info.

Saj, 29 Aug 2009Is this phone good or 5800 good for a 14 year old boy.....goin 2 buy the phone 2marrow pls rep... moreI own both phones and I suggest you go for the 5800 as it has a better cam, bigger sceen and a couple of other gizmos than in the E71. As a teenager you will love it. But if you are in to a bit of showing off to your frineds, (which teenagers like to do) go for the E71 which has the professional looks. In terms of user friendlyness the E71 is ahead of the 5800.
But with the 5800 you will get an years supply of free music, which I think is also very important when you're a teenager.
I assume you compare these two phones because you can afford them. So I'll let you into a little secret son, Chicks dig the professional looks of the E71. ;)
Anyways both phones are very good. think for a while and decide what will suit you the most. The camera and the sounds are not as good in the E71 as they are in the 5800.

But if you're really going for this phone, why not wait a few weeks more for E72? ;D

i want qwerty in a phone and have the samsung ultra touch... i also love a good camera.
should i keep my 8 megapixel ultra touch even though it has no qwerty sadly?

* Make sure your firmware is stable. If it doesn't feel right you can always reinstall it which will sort your problem.
* Turn off your phone once a day when its not in use, at least for 5 minutes.
* Don't install applications which are not provided from a trusted source.
* Always keep your firmware up to date.
* Format your memory card once in a while. (at least once in two months)
Following these simple steps will help you to sort most of your problems.
I have been using my Nokia E71 since September 2009 and it only hanged 2 or 3 times until now.

mobile phone hangs are very normal, specially Nokia hand sets runing Symbian OS. here i would like to tell u this true story:
my first mobile was N70.
second was N73.
third was N80.
after that was N95.
then last model was N95 8GB.
above phones all were giving the same problem: HANG !

I mean.. I am not able to open the main menu after this..
I end up restarting the phone...

Hello,
I recently purchased e71 however, i found some issues and would like to confirm with other users if they are having same issues.
1- When i click a picture screen is blank (black) while it process the captured image.
2- Screen is slightly out of the frame.
Please advise.
