Anonymous, 08 Jun 2009how should i charge my battery b4 first time use. i just bought this phone.Usually we are advised to charge a new battery for 6-8 hours before using.

bu... moreU may wanna check if your battery is original. I use mine mainly for surfing & checking share prices. The battery can last me about 1.5 days before a recharge.
About your auto shutting down, u may wanna try to reinstall the latest firmware available in your country.

i never problems with regards of updating it.
but one time, with my sister's nokia n78, that's the first time i had problem.
The phone didn't reboot. But i just remove the battery and it says in the computer to connect it again and it work.
i feel so nervous that time that i might screwed up on her phone.

but i hv been facing this problem also. it gets hanged and then shuts down. it hapens once in 2 days. i use nimbuzz for internet calls. and it happens mainly that time. and the battery is not good. i hv to charge it once daily. otherwise the phone is gr8.
is there any way for a getting a better backup of battery or i hv to buy a new one
recommend to all.

U r taking the greatest risk. I tried it with my Nokia E61i and finally my instrument went phut. Would not boot after that. So I took it to Nokia Care, who were kind enough to give me a new E63 in lieu as mine was still under warranty. But E63 was not new. It was a refurbished one, but looked new. Reason was that as per Nokia people,(I have it in writing from them) the sales and service departments are separate ones and dont have any connection. Sales have new and service people have refurbished ones. So, ultimately I was the looser. I loved my E61i but lost it due to NSU. Always give ur phone to Nokia Care for updation of firmware as they have the CD or whatever and dont take the risk of the internet which we do. (That E63 was taken away by my son and I had to purchase an E71. Thats how I am in this forum now.)

that AC-5U, it took me exactly 3 hours with my phone turn on while charging but im not using it.
Can u please tell me what nokia charger is the best?

As i've told you guys, i just bought my phone 2 days ago.
And I will charge it because the battery is low. (1 bar with a notification of low battery)
I just want to know... mine was made in Korea... and the supplied charger is AC-5U.
How many hours does it take for the phone to full charge?
Because it's almost 3 hours and not yet done charging.
Please let me know.

I've been using my E71 for the last few weeks and while all features are great, nothing beats its looks and feel on the hand. Though the buttons are small, it still is easy to type fast and with practically no error!!!
Multitasking and organizing your addressbook and organizing the schedules are all too great.
But the freaking thing shuts down automatically at times. But I can re-start right away and get back in action in no time. Still, it sucks to have to do it every once or twice a week!!!
Also, opening contacts takes a while. I've got around 600 contacts in my addressbook!

I got this phone 3 weeks ago and I LOVEEE it. I wanted the iphone before this, but the e71 has a lot more flexability (to install, choose, and tweak programs), a qwerty, and is SO sexy.

with that PC Suite you can synchronize your phone to your pc or update the phone software using the Nokia Software Updater.

When I bought my phone yesterday, i charge it and after i update my firmware using NSU. so far so good. no problem at all.
it's just funny that this dust issue bothers me too much.
that everything i have to check my screen or blow and wipe the phone to avoid this thingy. hehe

moving things from my memory card to my phone memory. but the phone is beautiful and the dual sim capability saves me a ton of hassles. the mp3 does not play wma files though...bummer!!!! cos my samsung does. but i really dig the phone.

Anonymous, 08 Jun 2009how should i charge my battery b4 first time use. i just bought this phone.nowaday the cell phone is highly upgrade. even is 1st time charging no need be afraid. all are highly control by circuit. just plug in and charge, when full it will auto disconnect. if want battery for longer life time please do not use until it hot, use phone when charging, and if can please totally use battery till less than 1 bar
