davidoff, 06 Apr 2009yes you can.Thanks!
After literally months searching for a device that filled my needs and expectancies, I finally made a decision and I went for this marvelous device: E71!!
I absolutely love Nokias PC suite’s tools…it allows synchronization with MS Outlook flawlessly, allows updating firmware, sending and receiving SMS directly on your desktop…Amazing!!
Email client works just fine, GPS is acceptable, and wifi connection is razor fast! There are bunches of apps out there so you can personalize it and get exactly what you need. The only drawback is the camera, but just for night shoots….video is recorded at 15fps…is good. Symbian interface is simple, customizable to the max.., qwerty is smallish, but small hands and getting used to it will make no big deal with that….it plays flv videos in an remarkable screen resolution….in general terms the mobile looks luxurious, functional and elegant...ofr course it is not the perfect phone since no such thing actually exists, but trust me:every issue abourt this phone can be solved, and internet provides countless resources and solutions for truble shooting...but there are not significant issues you could face...I even was able to syncronize my Hotmail account to be retrieved with the email native client directly to my cel!!!!!!
In Five years I have owned at least 11 different mobile models, ranging from Sony’s to Motorolas’….at least 5 out of them have been Nokias….and I have seen, borrowed and used many, many more models from friends n relatives….I am not to say which brand is better…I am to say that among ALL those, the best battery life EVER I’ve seen is this one….ever!!!
If you are not into touchscreens yet, and one of your main concerns is battery life you can think of E 71…
All I can say is Im not geeky, but I love doing my homework looking for pros and cons before I decide to make my purchase…
Now that I have it I can say it’s a very solid, robust, dynamic, fast and stylish device…I am more then satisfied…I honestly say I made a wise choice according to my needs.
You can reach me if you need to know something about it at cordoba__@hotmail.com
I hope it helps!!!
@Sunith: Have you tried Mr Google, a tip: put "nokia e71 themes"
Anonymous, 06 Apr 2009Hey i bought this phone in last August... the features are good expect for the emailing one...... moreI'm using yahoo go! What I found was that if you go to your email providers' web page, you will normally find a downloadable package for mobile use. Once you have downloaded that you can then set the access point as one of the E71 short-cuts on the left/right short-cut buttons. There are other ways to set up emails and I've even set up my work email site.... this would need permissions from your company IT dept. though

This handset is by far better than any blackberry's. It's slimmer and has alot more going for it. I would recommend this handset all day everyday! It has everything you could need on an offic/personnal use handset.
I’m struggling with this E71. I am using Vodafones Email Plus service for push email to the device but I just cannot configure an email signature for the Email Plus accounts. My local Vodafone shop couldn’t get it to work, Vodafone technical support had no ideas and the only advice from Vodafone today was “should have got a Blackberry!” Just wondering if anybody else has had similar problems. All I get when wanting to edit the mailbox and add a signature is “Messaging: Feature not supported.”
Thanks in advance.
can i get sum nice downloadable themes website links for this handset...

Can't anyone on this forum actually speak English? Or even spell? No wonder you having problems with a technical piece of kit when you can't even grasp basic English.

Only default browse is given and what opera version works on it, does it support secured web pages i.e. "https" and whether it allows to open multiple web pages at a time? I usually browse and work on secured web sites on my home pc so is it possible with this phone using multiple secured web pages? Please help if any one knows!!!
mac, 06 Apr 2009can i run more than two applications together at a time?how can i do it and by which key???Hold down the "Home" key, and a list will come up allowing you to switch between open applications.
I just have it for a couple of day. It is a smart phone for smart people. If you are looking for a handphone that is nice & just for making call, please do not buy it.
It is a great phone for people who surf net, check e-mail regularly. Especiall it is Wifi enable which make sufing of internet so convenient & cheap.
Good phone & no complain for me (apart from the keypad a bit too small for me).
