Had mine for about 1 month now. Twice it wouldn't go to the menu. Instead, when pressing Menu symbol, it shows a horizontal bar top right. Only turning off and on again solved this. I have the latest firmware installed.
It unlocks easily because the two buttons have slight pressure on them from the supplied leather slip holder. It is made of hard leather material. Twice it called someone, once went onto the internet whilst in my pocket. Never had this happen on my old 6822.
Calendar no longer tells you the year of an anniversary. Old Nokia OS would say "Birthday, 35". Now you have to calculate mentally. Bah.
The edge of the rubber USB cover always catches everywhere and opens.
Dunno about Korea and all that. Inside my E71, under the battery, it clearly says "Made in Finland". I hope that is true. I was upset when Nokia moved out of Germany as soon as the subsidies stopped, and now they have moved to shedding its long-term employees in Helsinki.

I've had this phone for 2 weeks now & I'm loving it!!! I don't know about what the other guys are complaining about but me, am enjoying each and every with it:)

i have this phone since 11 days now ...this phone is not good , i have problems in the memory card , always the phone can't read the memory card and i must restart the phone or wait 5- 10 min and the phone will read the memory card alone???!!!
i think i will go for N97 when the release it

Hi Guys. Can anyone please tell me if there is a charm hole on this phone? Not the most important feature of this phone I know, but one nonetheless.

I have this phone for 1 month now, i have some problems with it : sometimes when i want to start the camera , appares that the camera is used by another application...and i have to restart the phone.., sometimes after i hang up a call..it bloks 2-3 seconds. I have a friend witch have a problem with the memory card.. dosen't seem to recognise it..must reboot..

I bought some some on my phone and saved them to the memory card. However I tried to listen to the songs but cant seem to find them or anything that will let me access the memory card. Pls help how do i retrieve the songs from the memory card?

Try do a hard reset... and remember to set the Operator...
Full Reset: (clears everything off the phone memory!! Be sure to back up your contacts!!): *#7370#, 12345 and then Yes.

got it several days ago. amazing phone.
I really enjoy it so much tell now. No hanging.bad camera quality (indoor images).

n73 has better camera its because it really is a camera phone. come on your comparing a different era of phone here i got may n73 long ago but in 6 months i sell it its because it really hangs on me all the time and really slow this e71 is a real phone with no hang ups

i dunno what's wrong with this phone...
I got it today,it hanged over 30 times...
I spent hours and hours to set it up,and every time i click on maps,i had to pull out the battery...
tried to set up yahoo mail account,froze again,had to pull out the battery...
tried to synchronize,can't find the phone.. wtf..
was i unluckiest bustard to buy the worst unit..i dunno..
Only good things are,design,built quality,battery life,and textin is convenient...

this is excelent phone and before buying it you have to ask yourselves what you expect from the phone, because this phone is made for certain group of people not for evertbody. i have used more than 90 diferent phones in the last 5 years and can tell you that this phone offers you the best quality in all ways of using and if you need camera choose another phone, this is something special among the phones!

I first noticed this with my Nokia 3310 which was released in the year 2000. I suppose the TDMA phones were the same too which were released in the 90s.
I have NEVER came across a Nokia phone (or any phone) which vibrates during charging. It's a safety measure.
Is this your first cell phone for you to have not noticed this before ?

This phone was announced in June and released in July. Which makes it 5 months since it's release.
