The browsing speed definitely depends on your operator and not the phone. However, as the phone supports edge till 296 kpbs and 3 g as well.....if supported well by your operator browsing speed should be v.good....

Was undecided about the bold or E71. When i thought abou... moreYou can set it up so that nokia maps does not go online automatically. You can download the maps onto your memory card and use it free of cost without going online.
However, voice navigation is free for the first 3 months in most parts else it is chargeable.......

Finally got my hands on the E71.
Was undecided about the bold or E71. When i thought about it the E71 plan worked out better for me and not that i will be using it much for internet.
Just wanted to know when using maps do you get charged for it? As it asks do you want to connect or not and i always put offline?

What a great phone this is...after using the 9300 coomunicator for quite some time and then a I-Mate JAQ, it's so wonderful to be back with Nokia and Symbian...the phone works like a dream!!!

1-have you trid to update the phone softwere?0
2-where i live its either a 3G sim card or a no 3G card however you can always call the servic number to stop the servic and then get it back when you retern,thats how its done here.

Many thanks for answering, I really appreciate this! . . . but. . .
1) The phone shows that there is no memory card installed, so I can't find the format option. I have installed several memory cards (2, 4 and 8 GB), all are not working.
2) As far as I understood I will have Internet abroad. I only want to have the phone option (no 3G, UMTS, Internet, etc.) Maybe I'm a bit suspicious, but I don't want to receive a bill of hundreds of €'s because I was online abroad.
As far as I know I have to pay if I will make a phone call. If I'm not using the phone I will not have any costs.

Yes it works if ur Network Supports as nowadays i m out of Country and Here i m connected my Phone with My Laptop and dropping this Comment....
Thats Totally Depends on ur Network..

I have a v3x and it has an internal camera that I can use for video and picture...does the e71 have this option with the internal camera that it has?
