Got the phone yesterday, it looks awesome and feels awesome in your hand. The screen is clear and easy to read, easy to use and an enjoyable experience.
After about half an hour after i turned the phone on i got a message saying 'Remove memory card, press OK'
The phone has continualy been coming up with this message even after ive done what its asked. Tried 4 different memory cards and te phone kept saying the same thing.
When i was in messages or any other applications and the message came up, after it finished it came up with another message saying 'closing all applications' and whatever i was in at the time would close.
Very annoying, took it back to the shop today and replaced with a brand new one.
Overall happy with the phone and its features, it was a shame it had a fault but the new one does not have the same problem.
Hi everyone. Just needed help with setting the E71, so that it'd show the call duration during a call. Can someone please post up the directions of how it can be done.
I had a Nok E65 previously and it was in Menu - Log - Options. I can't seem to find it on the E71 though.
V, 05 Sep 2008Got my E71 for about a week now. It's Singapore version which supports English, simplified Chi... moreV,
I've got my set from Singtel about a month ago. Have notice the 1st bar battery do drop quickly. Anyway the overall battery performance is acceptable, last me about 2-2.5 days. I do lotsa net browsing & trading online with the phone. 1 thing I notice is the phone memory usage increases after couple of surfing sessions. The "Clear All Privacy Data" function don't seem to be working right. I have to remove the battery for about 10mins to clear the temporary memory(cache) in the phone.
I had wrote to Nokia since & is waiting for their solution.

Naqvi, 05 Sep 2008Nokia world wide supports world's best after sales service through its Servcie Centers and the... moreI definitely agree with u dude, ever since I've got my 5110 back in highschool, I never had problems or returned it for exchange, and I'm telling you used to have 6150,3210,8210,5210,3650,6230,6630 etc..and still use some of them.
Ahmed M, 04 Sep 2008Just bought my E71. The phone is great . I activated e-mail setup using Gmail. Someone please ... morehi Ahmed, yes, the phone can notify you of emails with a nice sound and indicator on the home screen. I have my Gmail, Yahoo and corporate email setup and it's fantastic. The E71 actually notifies me BEFORE the Gmail notifier on my Mac. My E71 is my life! Easily (bar the camera and lack of mechanical keypad lock), the most USEFUL and versatile phone I have ever owned - except my P900, but that kept crashing, was slow and didn't slide into my pocket like butter! 1) Press EMail button 2) Press left [Options] button 3) Select 'E-mail settings' 4) Select 'User settings' 5) Switch on 'New e-mail alerts'. That's it! You can explore further and have the E71 check your email automatically ever 15 mins for the primary address and then 30 mins for the others. (Don't know why Nokia impose this limit!)
Can somebody tell me that is it possible to get a group tab in contacts. How i can access the groups without entering into the phone book?
Earlier Nokia phones had an exclusive tab for groups but its not there in E71. Pls throw some light on it.
Thanks a Lot
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Nokia world wide supports world's best after sales service through its Servcie Centers and they not only touch the phone but solve all of your problems, no worries I have used almost all Nokia models from 3310 to E71. Gsmarena can coduct auser survey, Nokia is most selling Brand world wide and the high sales depends on after sales service too.
Congrats Nokia for a successfull journey.
I bought my E71 about 3 weeks ago and I have experiencing "SYSTEM ERROR" 3 times as well. is this a major risk? please advise.
