can any one help me please, does E71 have front camera?
this is the best ever phone i have ever used.....sometimes i feel that it is even better than E90.the only difference is E90 has a better camera.
I have just uploaded some video shot using my E71, and it is not too bad - the microphone picks up everything, from deep bass (I recorded someone playing guitar) to high frequences - very impressive for a phone! One thing though, just as with my N95 8G, video playback is wobbly - as if the lense is wobbling or the video is shot under water. I did not get this on my SE K800i or other phones. Is this a flaw in all Nokia video recording? (BTW, loving this phone the more the more I learn it's tricks. A pocket sized laptop replacement - you can even create Powerpoint presentations on it!) Way to go!
so far i know;nokia sets divided in two classifications-symbian & java version(windows is still unavailable in nokia!!)
Every symbian sets lika a mini-pc.as a PC-user every1 know-pc must has to be hang or restart/reboot at any of ur life-time !!
So,symbian will be hang/restart/reboot if u purchased in ur life-time.If sum1 not used to in symbian didn't purchase that version, buy java phone pls & don't comments like a fool about E71 or any other symbian nokia set ,pls!!If u planned to purchased asymbian, get ready for habg/reboot/restart,ok?
I have read here that the camera is not upto the ,ark... how true is it?
recently a friend got the E71..he was happy with the phone but said that the phone used to hang a few times... has anyone else had this prob??? i am seriously planning to get this phone next month and a phone that hangs will be a definite put off!!!!
k, 22 Aug 2008is e71 is a gud best phone in qwerty or does it creates lots of problem intyping msgs plz help... moreThe keyboard is very well thought out. For example, all the popular symbols (@ etc) are well positioned (and do not always require the Shift or 'Function' key to be pressed.) The keys are small, but you get used to them and having just seen a Blackberry Bold in real life, I am glad Nokia created such a narrow phone. The Bold is much wider and while sexy, plastic and bulky in comparison. Nokia have really put much thought into the E71 and it is the ultimate 'Sensible' phone that is also stylish and practical. Go for it!
UPDATE: OK, ignore my previous review, I was using the really bad Nokia headphones supplied with the E71. Using a Vodafone 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter connected to my Sony neckband headphones and a) The sound from the MP3 player is way better than I thought and louder than my prev N95 8G. b) Radio is better than I thought too, although unlike my Nokia N95 8G that picked up the visual radio ID, my E71 won't for some reason. c) Have downloaded and installed Projekt task/project manager and it's excellent. (Avail from Handango.com) Went to play with an iPhone and compare and for all the multitouch coolness, the iPhone lacks the versatility, battery life and smarts of the E71. (Nokia, for the E71i, please improve the camera low light performance, add a 3.5mm jack and make the keypad backlight sensitivity adjustable. Thanks dudes.)

The multimedia part is not amazing but overall it's fantastic. I have this phone for three weeks and i'm very very happy with it. The keyboard is a little bit small but the buttons are rounded and the typing errors are minimal. It's perfect for normal and not snobbish people :)

You'll see that you will get used to it in no time ;)
Three years ago I've spent about a week complaining because the BB keyboard was "weird". I got used to it and started to love the BB keys.
One year after (two years ago) I got the HTC TyTN and it seemed to be such an improvement - full qwerty and all.
Now I bought the Omnia - great WM, fantastic camera, the touch keyboard (landscape) is much better than the iPhone's (no landscape).
The thing is, I can't seem to be able to type as fast as with a physical keyboard.
So, I suppose that I'll get an E71 for myself. Need to reply to loads of emails every day and with the Samsung it is not that practical.
Enjoy your phone :)
