I am using SE P1i now and am attracted to Nokia E71 because of its improved and additional connectivity options such as EDGE which is lacking in P1i. A year ago before P1i launch i was a die hard fan of Nokia but no more. SE P1i's battery life(of course E71 has good battery life), good sound quality, excellent camera, multitask capabilities, rich UI and touch screen are holding me back from buying Nokia E71. If anyone clarify me the following querries then i'll switch over to Nokia again.
1. Howz Browsing speed on Mobile?
2. Does Phone support VOIP calls over GPRS mode? p1i doesn't.
3. How many hours does ur mobile battery lasts when u r browsing.
4. Does push mail work properly.
5. Does this phone has Blackberry connect like P1i.
6. Does Quick office support editing excel and word documents of 2007.
7. Does this phone support multi task? Cause earlier Nokia phone's were lacking this feature due to low RAM/ROM size.
8. How often E71 hangs? Because i am reading many opinions from users that this phone hangs too like other Nokia phone.
I think i'm asking too many question and i'm sorry for troubling. Since i Liked E71 specifications and i wanted clarifications from those who have used SEP1i and Nokia E71. Pls compare these two phones so that many buyers will be benefitted.

I just bought an E71.......Its simply the smart choice for all.....earlier i has E61i....but i found E71 more handy, stylish, customerized feature & high performance. Thanks NOKIA for introducing such an nice phone.

Can someone please tell me what is the main difference between BlackBerries and other business phones like Nokia E51 or E71 or any other business serries phone? Email and internet surfing is my major priority. Thanks

i can see only last 20 numbers even if the option is selected to keep it for 30 days ..

You mean it gets locked even if you choose:
Phone and SIM card > Keypad
autolock period

Its not the keypad autolock period, its the phone autolock period which does not let me select None :-(

Wonderkid, 28 Aug 2008I had same problem. Have you got 'Allow Remote lock' ON? If so, switch it off. However, that d... moreagree on the yum part :-)
never switched on the remote lock part.
Probably has something to do with the way i decyrpted the phone memory....will try encrypting-decrypting once more and will lose the encryption key this time....don't remember if i did it the last time
if it still doesn't work, will just encrypt both memories.
if u can't beat them, join them !!!

I am from Singapore, E71 comes with search: Internet and My content.I am able to use the yellow pages to search for any co. name, open map and begin GPS nagivating to co.

Where Do i Get The Applications Which i Used to Have In mY Nokia N73 and Nokia N82.

hi guys got the e71 today and downloaded some website pages but wondered if you can get the icons for the home page for quick access? the pages are facebook and betfair?????

I used SE-P1 and SE-W890i before,
honestly SE have better audio (used with headset). No doubt SE-W series best for sound quality.
Btw overall E71 is ROCK, GREAT than SE-P1/W890i!!!

This wide screen and it's detail and colors are simply awesome!!
No need to bother to turn the device 90 degrees, not a vertical narrow peephole to documents and files... :-))

nokia e71 is the best phone i ever owned. If you are planning to buy a pda phone, this is it..you will not regret it.

I bought this phone yesterday. i was using E61i ealier and believe me its much better than that. no hassles so far. very nice phone with such a style. go for it

halloweenshank, 28 Aug 2008I encyrpted the phone memory and it recommended that I switch on the phone autolock security. ... moreI had same problem. Have you got 'Allow Remote lock' ON? If so, switch it off. However, that does not change the sim card encryption, it just means you don't have to 'login' each time your phone wakes up. I imagine this is a minor bug from Nokia - that's what we early adopters suffer from - but hey, we are in pocession of the most sexy piece of kit since the 2G iPhone. Yum yum, burp!
