hi there,
I've been using the E71 for a few days now and have to admit that this is a great phone.
Just wondering you guys out there who own a E71, does your screen go completely blank after lights out or it constantly shows the time?
Would appreciate if anyone can get back to me on this.

U can try this link. But do bear in mind when using Google Map, it is data intensive & its preferably u have an unlimited data plan.

I never really spend over $300 for a phone, but two days ago I spent over four hundred dollars for the Nokia E71. I can tell you this, it a nice phone, very good features to make any first time buyer like myself to buy one from looking at clips on youtube.
I’m going keep it short. If you coming from a Black Berry 8300 curve series, and use the nokia E71 for the first time, you may want to switch back to Black Berry or look for the Bold 9000. I use to own a Black Berry curve and I love it, but want to try something new like the Nokia E71 and still have it. I believe the Bold 9000 going to kill the Nokia E71 because of BB messenger and if you know what I’m taking about you going to agree with me, and also easy settings for emailing. Don’t get me wrong, the Nokia E71 is fast and have great features for a sleek phone and I believe that the best slim phone ever from Nokia, but it would had been a prefect phone if Nokia E71 can work with BlackBerry messenger, but I’m going to keep the Nokia E 71.

Is Nokia E71 capable of using any CDMA chip? I mean, the chips which are used by CDMA phones to send and receice data. I anyone knowz please let me know coz I like to buy this Nokia E71.

risto_, 10 Aug 2008i've had the phone 2-3 weeks by now. there is a serious firmfare bug - the Nokia Maps applicat... morenokia Maps navigation is a 7 day trial and will stop working if u dont subscribe.. maps should work though... have you tried installing Google maps? Mine works perfectly.. I get a GPS signal in seconds indoors. I just bought mine aug 13 2008...

This secondary camera may be just given for 3G network for Video Call and I think that when you try to call by Video Call at that time this camera will start showing its controls.
Just check if you have 3G support from operator and try to call someone from your mobile to check if the controls are displayed om screen or not.

No problems at all with Globe's and Smart's 3G services.
