hey arif, i just bought the phone yesterday. i have a question about the link that you gave me that has free applications for E71.
how can i know if that application or theme is compatible for E71?
i downloaded frozen bubble game from there site and when i installed it, i got an certificate expired error message. what does that mean?

E71 sounds great but would like to continue with Blackberry as with E61i. Can I set up E71 for Blackberry Connect?

Had this phone a week now having moved from HTC TyTN II -> Samsung I780 -> Samsung I640 -> Nokia E71, its by far the best smartphone on the market, looks amazing and does exactly what you want without any issues.
The sound quality is streets ahead of any smartphone/pocket pc I have ever had, I dont know about you but when I download a ringtone/message tone, I want to be able to actually hear it and it sound the same as when it was on my laptop, well its awesome, the clarity is superb.
I would recommend this phone to anyone looking for a smartphone, I chose it over the Samsung Omnia and I am glad I did, not only does it have everything I want but it looks absolutely awesome - such a high quality, class looking phone.

Hi everyone. I try to use the tip from "Arbiter" on my Nokia E71-2 NAM version.
When I hold the # button nothing happen. It's suppose to switch the profile from Normal to Silence. The rest of the shortcut button works well except the # button.
Anyone have the same issue on their Nokia E71-2 NAM version?
Tips for E71
Press and hold the "*" button will turn on and off the bluetooth
Press and hold the '#' button will switch between General and Silent profile.
Press and hold the '0' button will execute the web browser.

to serve the function of phone, this is one great piece.. fast, straightforward n a real ease to use. previously i was using p1i than HTC diamond (which only lasted me 3days before i got too frustrated n sold it) before landing myself the e71.. so far so good.. excellent batt life, qwerty keyboard is amazing to use n the list goes on..
using it for about 3weeks.. no hang, no nothing.. until today a very very small issue pop up..
i created a group.. n wanted to edit the name n setting for it n realize i cannot find such an option.. anybody knows how to do it?? i have check out the HELP option. it says under option chose the group n edit.. bt there is no such option. only available is add to group, below to group and new group. where is the edit??
help needed! thks alot~
other than this little bug.. the phone is simply amazing..

Email account setting:
Message->Mailbox->Key in email @->Password
For auto-retrieval:
Message->Email a/c name->Open->Option->E-mail setting->Automatic Retrieval
From there, set as preferred. Do note that Automatic retrieval has data charges. It is riding on 3G / HSDPA technologies, unable to set WIFI.
To disable the "breathing" light:
Profile->Personalise->Breathing light->On / Off

Just bought it yesterday but few thing occur for a while, the phone suddenly restart after few sec hang....another 1 is i cant access any folder/ icon inside menu....
But thing's going well and normal today after full charge the battery overnight. Now i can enjoy all the features without any problem.

if u guys wanna decide on whether u should buy the E71 or E90,determine first what kind of a person u are when it comes to phones..im assuming the both of u can afford either phones,but then theres value for money.if u want something sleek,smaller,and less prone to wear and tear,then u could go for the E71-but theres a catch;ull have to forget about the big screen and the camera quality..however,if u really wanna show off and get great features (willing to ignore the size),then go for the E90..althought the E90 also has a solid build,u have to keep in mind that its heavy and has moving mechanical parts..so if one day u accidently drop that baby..hmmm.."the bigger they are,the harder they fall"..u get my drift?..personally i love both phones,but in terms of value for money,i would go for the E71...it packs all the features of E90 into a smaller package..---hope this helps

just got the phone even without reviewing it online first. No regrets...it has all the requirements i needed for business as well the camera with autofocus ! great job nokia ! perhaps they can consider the jogdial or blackberry rollerball for faster access ! The grey steel make the phone look so high class.
