Noted your comments but seems you dont have this phone, there are different application for Visiting card/Text Reader and Barcode reader in the phone. If you have this phone then go to TOOLS then you can directly find BARCODE READER. Where as Card Reader/Text Scanner is in INSTALLATIONS and these are OCR software Named as MULTI SCANNER of 3rd party applications.
Is there anyone expert on help for Barcode reader.?

I have this phone since last week.
I have tried to use Bar Code Reader several times but it couldnot read anything and I am surprised if anybody else is able to use this feature or not.
Please show me if you can for Screen Shot of what is report data looks like, because whenever I scan bracode it takes long time and redboxes moves with red colour here & there and red lines on screen appear in different shapes, but finally nothing happens and this application goes into standby mode by itself.
Please help to solve this problem..

Can anybody tell me if is any soft available to make the phone compatible with blackberry connect? ( is perfect phone compare with e90 - too expensive and too big; e61i - start to be old phone ).

On my mobile this function is not working ..
Nokia E71 features the really nice smart dialing feature, which helps you quickly find a contact straight from the standby screen. All you need to do is type a few letters and all contacts with names (first or last) containing them get displayed.
how do I enable it?

I think its time for nokia to start putting some touch screens on their devices.It would show other brands that they (nokia) are capable of making & producing one & still a very strong competitive.as for now, nokia's still on the top list.thumbs up for nokia :o)

The difference between E61i & E71 is like driving 1957 model car and 2008 model car the difference in speed I have both phones and i dont like the E61i any more but all phones have software problems

The screen is v.sharp. Menus are fast and organized well. BUT - menu graphics should have been improved. Included themes are crap (as usual). Exact same weight / size as my iPhone. Dark Metal shiny looks good.

why dont you see the other great touch screen phones like apple iphone ? or samsung omnia? nokia will be down and losssss every think with out a really touch screen phone with UI . by the way i am uosing the nokia for 8years now and i have the e90 and the sirocco and other nokia phones man so dont be go so fast with gaging people

Notika, 23 Jul 2008Yesterday i did some search, was looking for E71-2 NAM version as it has been lunched. But did... morecheck ebay. alot of those same sold out retailers actually have some on ebay. I ordered mine yesterday, its "out for delivery" on a fedex truck now.

OK NOKIA E71 IS COOL E90 COOL ALL NOKIA PHONES IS COOL BUT??? if nokia will not put a touch screen phones in the market starting from this year or in the end of year they will be down .... yes trust my words. they are the #1 still but see how samsung gos in les then a year to the second stepes after nokia saling and sony gos to the forth of the list now as i can see in GSMARENA ? so i dont think that my massage will be post for nokia but i feel better now to say that and talk about it .

I would like to ask if any of you experience any errors when transferring music via nokia pc suite. the software just would not respond and would close itself. I however was able to transfer music by directly copying and pasting the files to the memory card but this means that the format of the files is not mobile optimised. Also, I could not play MPEG4 videos properly. It only plays the sound without the vidie uself.
Did any of you encounter the same issues? What did you do? I'm thinking since this is one of the newer relases, there are still a lot of bugs in the software. But if it's just me experiencing these, then my unit sure has a defect...
PS - I replaced my N95 with this unit. My only regret is with the downgrade for me in terms of speaker and picture quality... and probably the problematic software...
