Don't be caught off guard with those Telcos, while using E71 or E51 under packet data connection, set to 'when needed' and not 'when available' while overseas, cost me S$260 last month, 'when available' for only 6 days :(
a little disappointed in e71, as my first smartphone, calendar - if someone has a birthday, it does not show the age of that person :(
othervise the phone is great - very good built quality and good features. only the fingerprints on the body... but i'll get used to it. oh and it's quite difficult to get a right voice command response if your english pronunciation is not perfect.
i bought this phone four days back. the nokia seems to take pleasure in experimenting with the customer rather than do rigorous testing before hand like TATA products. in my phone, the top line display is defective; after eight letters, the display fades and then gently disappears. also, the 'ring once' command in profile setting is not functioning. when i took the phone to nokia care centre, they politely told that they have not received any tool to repair this phone. may be they are also taken by surpise by the fact that a phone launched with so much fanfare will develop problem on the first day itself.
Wow wonderfull mobile. i got mine yesterday.
its simply superb.
it even came with a 8 GB memory card.
its so nice thanks to nokia for releasing e71.
I'm a heavy multimedia/mobile internet user and I can say that this phone is fulfilling ALL my needs. The battery life is more than great and the ergonomics of the phne are excellent. I would have liked a VGA screen but I can manage well also with qvga. The keyboard is extremly easy toi use despite its small size.
A higly recomended phone, maybe the best there is in this class.
i got this handset and got the fantastic experience .camra qlty is very poor .but still i feel its a good phone.
the phone is a boon for all professionals. it is much faster than the rest of the phones in its category and its really sleek so not cumbersome to carry. all in all a fully packed business phone worth every penny spent.
hey guys, i got mine last week. so i want to share overall about this phone:
Battery life: very good (hardcore-3days, very busy-4days, moderate 5-6days)
Screen: wide enough and clear enough (for me)
Keypad: although it seems very tiny but after some time, well you will find it more comfort than e61i ( i use this phone before)
Loudspeaker: loud but not very loud (enough for me to hear every time it rings) also good and clear enough for listening to the music via loudspeaker (if your mp3 file is good enough, then you can hear the detail of the song)
Camera: not so good, but i don't care because i don't buy phone because of it's camera (lol)
by the way right now i'm using e51 & e71.
i can't wait to see & use e66.....
why e66 not in the market yet???
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970The phone is available is the UAE, but it has been selling very very fast. If you find one, GET IT!! Awesome phone. first time to use nokia, and its very chique.
i got this 7 days and its awesome...i tot the keypad was way to small for my finger but u ONLY need ur thumb...thats all...plus its not really pricey if compare to other pda or smartphone. refresh rate is really fast.. the first point that lure me to buy e71 is the slimnest phone..wow..its a great phone with all the 3g, gps, document viewer but the picture is only decent but what the heck..its a businees phone...the battery is superb...when i fully charge it, e71 can last for 4 days with average 20-30 calls per day not including 100's of sms...
i sold my iphone 8gb to my friend to get this...
Guys im writing this with my new E71 and honestly IT IS AWESOME. I cannot believe im actually loving this better than my TyTN II. To be honest im always looking for the perfect phone akl the time and this Nokia is a revelation. And you know what? I used to hate big time Nokia with all N series gadget but this one?... Speechless... Brilliant... Not slow like all windows mobile... Sexy... Dam it i need to go back to bed, im working in 3hours but don't regret that the phone kept me awake... Full of suprise. down side? I have big fingers and i suprise myself how quick i can type with, i had 4 mistype only writing this review to u guys. Anyway goodnight ^_^
i was a nokia user before. now i'm using SE p1i because of the keyboard and the touchscreen.
i think the E71 is a big improvement over e51. hope they make a touchscreen nokia. now this phone is way better than the N series of nokia coz i'm getting tired and bored about their features. it's basically the same and nothing is new.
i hope they continue making intersting phone like the e71. i already have tried the e51 and i think its cool. the qwerty keypad of e71 is a very big plus for us lovers of this kind of keypad. keep up the good work about the e71 only.
about the n series, what's next???? M SERIES????
Specs are awesome however some users might find the key pad not easy to use BUT using the predictive text option is the best way to type. The software management is way to better than any of the communicator series of the Sony Ericsson P910i series.
I have always used a communicator and the last nokia instrument used was the 9500, I wanted to buy the E90 BUT was advised by my Nokia Dealer to opt for the E71. Its been a week i bought a E71 and to be honest the E71 is a SUBSTITUTE or per say REPLACEMENT for the E90.The E71 is a KICK ASS invention to kick the E90.
Techy's and IT savvy peps' who do not like BULKY phones but still want the communicator in a ZIP mode..close your eyes and buy the E71....
not everyone can use a such a smart phone...
so shut up....it's the best...:P
i m a sales advisor and now lg has lunch scrach proof class in display and every body is impresed so try to make in nokia
Can the GPS for E71 be used with Route 66 instead of Nokia Maps ? Which phone GPS uses Route 66 ?
