What an AWESOME phone! Wow... mA . Just love it soo much! Nokia - You rock! :D
My poor nokia e71 has dropped over a hundred times and NO im not over exaggeration lol and still works awesome! LOVE IT xx
my nokia e71 droped at stone floor,,i think it realy broken!.but not! Wow,,,strength phooooone!
I've had the Nokia E71 for two and a half years. It is a great device. Feels solid in the hands, and has a high quality feel to it. (the E6, the current replacement for the E71, seems lesser quality in comparison). The E71 just continues to go, even after dropping it under water while it was switched on about 16 months ago. I pulled it apart, let it dry out in a container of rice for 2 days, put it back together, and have been using it ever since.
I had a problem a few months ago with the internal speaker. When on a call the the whole output was distorting terribly. I thought I was in for a new phone. Fortunately, I found a thread that spoke about a similar problem with the N95. Solution was to put your lips over the earpiece section, blow really hard, then suck really hard. It worked! No more distortion.
I reccomend you download the Opera Mobile Browser, and the Opera Mini Broswer, as I find these are a superior replacement for the built in S60 web browser.
I use my phone for SMS, voice calls, email, web browsing, viewing YouTube, and Skype calls. When needed, I can also connect the phone via Bluetooth or USB to my PC for internet access (phone acts as a modem). You can even use the phone as a DECT Voip handset.
Windows Live Hotmail or Google Calendar and Contacts can be made to sync using the Mail for Exchange app.
Nokia Store has heaps of great apps for the phone. Some of my favourites apps are Psiloc's Traveller, Psiloc's Wireless Presenter, Endomondo, MobiReader, S60 Bible, OliveTree Bible Reader, and X-plore.
It comes with QuickOffice for reading, editing and creating Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, including docx format.
The 3.2MP camera is adequate for quick photos or videos.
All in all, a great little device, that has surpassed my expectations of what a good full-QWERTY keypad smartphone should be.
Highly reccommend to anyone wanting one.
got it quite cheap from a good friend and i love it..
compact and convenient, i preffer keyboard over touchscren, i would wish for a similar model with up to date spec, screen rotation and 1 inch longer screen
