i bought e72 yesterday, seems gud, can sum1 tell me how to turn off capture tone??
Had this phone back in March , loved this phone in start but its start bugging like slowing down , having delay during apps , also upgraded which make it smooth but also waiting for Nokia to clear some bugs ,Voip does not work so smooth , its slow as compared to the features it has with it . Also Bluetooth is making hell of problems
i am having trouble since the moment i started using this E72 about 20+ days back. everytime i am making a call or receiving a call, the call drops showing "connection error" or "no network coverage". also when i am making or receiving a call , the network signal bar drops to the lowest bar and suddenly the call drops. no call lasts more than a few seconds; such irritating!!!
also even on desktop it always ask for "select connection: search for WLAN, internet " this same thing comes when i want to download emails, which is allright.
really tired of this and cursing myself for buying it in the first place. may be should have opted for E71!!
anyone can help me in fixing these or should i do a software update or send this to Nokia Care??
I want to buy this One(E72)
but Im not sure about it
Is it chinese or finland??whats the defrents?
would you please help to decide what todo?
can you tell me the pros and cons of this phone??? or can you recommend another phone for me?
I purchased the phone (topaz brown colour) as an upgrade from the E71, soon as it was launched. I am an extensive user of almost all features except for games. I have been badly disappointed initially as because of poor stability. However the camera is the best in both low light and normal day environments (though flash is less powerful). With the first SW upgrade avaiable almost after 6 months of launch, now this is much stable than before.
It feels great now, though this being a next generation to E71, should have been more stable initially.

You mentioned for email go for BB and than you said Satio takes better pics than E72. If you say what you have to say than E72 looses out in every department. Emailing, Camera, Music and above all bad construction. So if I say E72 is a poor choice I am not so wrong isn't it.

The E72 handles e-mail better than, say the Satio(my other phone), but i dont knock the Satio cos it takes better pics, but the battery on the satio is bad.
U see, the E72 does what it does & it does it good.
Something I would like to share with you, I rely too much on internet and Emailing for my day to day activities. Opera Mini has been my choice for browsing. What I discovered is Opera mini performs worst on E72. The fonts are cramped on E72 screen but Opera mini fits and performs at its best on E63 and E71. On E72 you are forced to use Nokia browser which consumes a terribly high Data and makes it expensive unless you are under contract with provider for unlimited usage. Above all E71 is a best email phone and much more stable than E72. The world knows it but E72 owners wont agree. All in all, E72 is an expensive and unworthy choice. Watch out before you leap into E72 world.
its just a phone that drives smone crazy 4 its magical features. its just a phone by itself.go 4 it while the stocks last.

Why not try the E63 instead. it seems better then if your concerns are true. E63 seems to cater for those. despite that ots gat a 2MP camera.

In terms of processsor speed most of the modern days phones are equipped with 800 mhz, 1 Gh upto 1,5 Ghz. That does not make them better than E72. Besides, all apps which work on 600 mhz E72 also works on 369 mhz E61. These days people need a business phone which also does good multimedia and thats what we call a mobile companion. Besides all this there are a lot of shortcomings in E72 which I mentioned earlier. Thats why I called E72 a poor choice. Many who already own E72 will not agree and will have a lot to say. It wont change anything.

And when you think about it like that, if it stops the annoying kids, then it's great design planning by Nokia ;p
Anonymous, 27 May 2010 hey guyz planning to buy e72....can u all help me out to know how de phone is???? E72 is very very styling and superb nd mind blowing by its performance. its a really very valueble,go nd buy it
Good phone for those who need a new full featured Qwerty design. But problems are plenty, back cover loose ( defective design ), low speaker volume ( bad audio hardware ), Backlight leak from behind the home and applic keys ( again bad design ), camera is hopeless in low light environment, the solid steel feel of E71 is gone and it is 50/50 plastic/steel design. If you can live with these shortcomings then E72 is yours. By the way, compared to E71 this phone only performs better in terms of menu outlook, presence of flash light and audio 3,5 audio jack input. But sad that speaker is located behind the phone which dissapoints when you want to watch video and listen to mp3s without headphones. ( Again bad design ). Nokia needs to wake up and think better to design a good phone. E72 is a poor choice.
