I own this phone for a couple of days and using it is a pain every day. It does not connect to email account, i somehow manually configured it after that the wizzard broked it and i cant use it anymore. The applications are hidden within too many layers of icons and i have to spend 5 minutes to remember where i can find them. Some programs refuse to connect to internet through wifi even if i disabled the other connections.

Just sent my t mobile E72 handset back after 1 day,Terrible build quality, flimsy battery cover which does not fit properly, and fragile keys that look like they will snap at the edges within a month, light leakage under the top buttons.Handset was a made in finland one, but i have to say this handset will not stand up to normal every day use, my advice is to ask to see one out of the box before buying. very bulky and awkward size and that would be ok if it was well made, but for me i will be looking at N97 mini, as this looks much better quality.
In my three days old E72 the GPS refuses to show any signal strength. So GPS has never worked on my E72 till now. Can my GPS component be defective?
Anyone else facing similar problem?
I used to have a lot of respect for GSMArena - i bought my Nokia E72 after reading their reviews BUT now i feel GSMAreana is a Nokia Stooge
Nokia E72 drawbacks
Very Expensive 23K vs Blackberry 16K for same features in India
5MP - it is a sham
Auto Focus is a sham
Can taking a snap without the flash even if we siwtch off flash
Business card Reader - A Sham
Picture Quality - Good only in sunlight NOT indoors
No Blackberry in E72
Push mail doesn't work as my operator Vodafone says E72 software isnt working
Even when it works every morning you have to restart the phone
Space Key - gets jammed once a week - again restart the phone
Advance Call Managemnet Software - Removed ( was there in E71)
Their Tag Line " how we respond are Who we are are"
-Aptly describes the situation of Nokia currently
Horible Customer Service - NO Toll Free no and what more u gotta add STD Code for dialing
Showrooms says they are not responsible and goto cutomer service centre where there is no service
Quick Office - Not at all user friendly
Also you cant work on two documents at once i.e. if you want to copy from one file and paste in a new file it is not possible - so what is the point of editing option
Simple function such as Cut n Paste very difficult and NOT Available in E-mail functions
try to delete more than a line when forwarding and entire matter gets deleted
Ovi Software - FREE - is misguiding as u cnat download the software/themes on your desktop and install in ur phone - Hv to download via Link (Operator Charges finish you)
MY ADVISE - FORGET NOKIA E72
Hi, I hv E71 and i would like to buy E72, How is the performane of this phone ? It's good or not bad ?
Friends, despite me myself who has condemned E72 for not being stable in its firmware and being rather fragile and brittle in terms of built quality, I hereby take the priviledge to boast E72 in certain features...A best camera on a Qwerty phones ( Only in Normal light conditions ) comparing 2.4 to 2.6" screens...a best support for software on Qwerty phones as ample of applications are on their way to reach your device...a best sound recorder, it outperforms all major brands...a longest battery life...very comfortable keyboard...a very capable optical trackpad, it saves you a lot of hassle push on direction keys...A very comfortable size and weight...A very good GPS system...Good Email support ( though many of our friends have been facing problems in this department )...A good browser ( but very expensive if you are not registered on a fixed subscription rate ) I use Opera mini to save on data rate...Good reception and call quality...Above all the device is selling at a very competitive price...I read somewhere its price has gone down upto USD 330. Have a nice day.
Soniya, 15 Feb 2010Hello Rajesh bhai, long time, anyways BBs r bade bewqoofs that ws a good one ,its not about the ... moreIn my place they were planning to launch B7610 Omnia Pro but instead they launched Samsung OmniaII. I am at the moment considering it as it has 8 gb storage, 3.7" screen and Windows Mobile. But since it does'nt have keyboard I am still on edge. Ya, SE is trying hard these days as they have been pushed against the wall. Vivaz and Experia 10 are expected soon. X2 I think will loose its price very very very fast. So keep patience as I have been posting since 100 million years March onwards is going to be months of consumers who are on hunt for features and not for a few freaks who live their life on 1 model and get blindly attached to that 1 particular thing. These people dont see the future as their present and future gets stuck with one gadget and they dont like anybody posting negative comments against their baby. So keep looking and enjoy whats coming in your way...

Hi all, can someone help provide some feedback on the use of Mail for Exchange on the E72 eg how reliable the software is, whether you can actually receive mails, etc? Thanks.

Maybe it's the location or the type of email account(s) you have. I should have my new e72 tomorrow so I will compare the email speed to my old e71. Thanks for the heads up.
Soniya, 14 Feb 2010Sorry its bb8520 curveBB8520...I will never buy that...reason being no 3g, no auto focus camera ( it has only 2 mpix ), you have to pay everymonth for internet connectivity and you will miss the colour depth of 16 million colours as 8520 is only 65k colours and moreover a short battery life...Why not buy E63 which is a lot cheaper than 8520 and has better specs with better battery life...BB is only for BB fans who somehow loose a capability to think further and what I call BB is Bade Bewaqoof (BB)...

Click add new account...Input your email address...input your password...Nokia E72 will configure the setup and you are done. You can set a few accounts without any problem.
this phone is one of the best phones i have owned and considering i work for a phone shop that i fair few the only other phones i rate with this is the nokia n900 for the video playback and sound and the iphone for the app store and the safari app. if you are thinking of getting a blackberry then think twice this makes a really nice alternative it works great has a fantastic battery life and my handset has not crashed or turned off and the space key works fine. plus you dont have to pay for blackberry service. it is cheaper to own both contract and prepay conpared to the likes of the 8900 and 9700 and is better speced than both these handsets.
All the guys who want to buy this phone, may please note.
After using the phone for more than two months, I would advise, this phone for all other purposes other than "EMAILING".
EMAIL is a DISASTER in this handset. I have had my software re-installed by NOKIA. Even then it does not work correctly.
Also it is slower in opening larger excel files compared to E63. (processor speed/RAM all the specs we have been fighting on the forums are futile.)
Nokia is betraying a potential customer if it projects this device as the best for emailing.
E63/E71 with nokia messaging service is FAR FAR better than E72.
So go ahead buy the phone for fancy specs. ( Shame I did the same thing).
I brought this phone about 2 months ago and the experience has been simply amazing.... Its been working superbly and very rigid phone as i ve dropped it twice and its working without any problems.
