Hi all, can someone help provide some feedback on the use of Mail for Exchange on the E72 eg how reliable the software is, whether you can actually receive mails, etc? Thanks.
Sagar, 14 Feb 2010All the guys who want to buy this phone, may please note. After using the phone for more than... moreSagar, this is the 2nd time I have read about the email being slower on the e72 over the e71. I wonder why, since the specs are far better. Maybe it's the location or the type of email account(s) you have. I should have my new e72 tomorrow so I will compare the email speed to my old e71. Thanks for the heads up.
Soniya, 14 Feb 2010Sorry its bb8520 curveBB8520...I will never buy that...reason being no 3g, no auto focus camera ( it has only 2 mpix ), you have to pay everymonth for internet connectivity and you will miss the colour depth of 16 million colours as 8520 is only 65k colours and moreover a short battery life...Why not buy E63 which is a lot cheaper than 8520 and has better specs with better battery life...BB is only for BB fans who somehow loose a capability to think further and what I call BB is Bade Bewaqoof (BB)...

Click add new account...Input your email address...input your password...Nokia E72 will configure the setup and you are done. You can set a few accounts without any problem.
this phone is one of the best phones i have owned and considering i work for a phone shop that i fair few the only other phones i rate with this is the nokia n900 for the video playback and sound and the iphone for the app store and the safari app. if you are thinking of getting a blackberry then think twice this makes a really nice alternative it works great has a fantastic battery life and my handset has not crashed or turned off and the space key works fine. plus you dont have to pay for blackberry service. it is cheaper to own both contract and prepay conpared to the likes of the 8900 and 9700 and is better speced than both these handsets.
All the guys who want to buy this phone, may please note.
After using the phone for more than two months, I would advise, this phone for all other purposes other than "EMAILING".
EMAIL is a DISASTER in this handset. I have had my software re-installed by NOKIA. Even then it does not work correctly.
Also it is slower in opening larger excel files compared to E63. (processor speed/RAM all the specs we have been fighting on the forums are futile.)
Nokia is betraying a potential customer if it projects this device as the best for emailing.
E63/E71 with nokia messaging service is FAR FAR better than E72.
So go ahead buy the phone for fancy specs. ( Shame I did the same thing).
I brought this phone about 2 months ago and the experience has been simply amazing.... Its been working superbly and very rigid phone as i ve dropped it twice and its working without any problems.

GSMAndy, 14 Feb 2010stuntz, I would go for the e72. I've used the nokia e71 for the past 18 months and was happy.... morePlease Don't do such a big mistake because E72 is having very much hanking problems. It's Gps dont works fine as well as bluetooth and wi-fi also.It will be hanked if you only press spacebar key.If try to operate this phone fast, this phone will return you on the home screen or automatically switches down. You should go for BlackBerry Curv8900 because it dont have any hanking problems. It's trackball also works very fine, the feature that u dont cget in E72.My opinion is that u should go for BlackBerry.E72 have N series operating system.

su-e72, 14 Feb 2010GPS is working nicely in UAE with E72su-e72,
My GPS has not worked even once. I live in Chennai, not a remote location. Is it that I have missed something while configuring the GPS.
Can you think of anything liable to be missed.

I've used the nokia e71 for the past 18 months and was happy. Monday I'll be getting the e72 and I can't wait. Why pay more money for Blackberry data plan? Just tell your carrier you want unlimited internet on an old model phone. Everybody has BB so be different!
I am using E72 for a few days now, am facing problems after problems. Try menu/Ctrl.panel/connectivity/conn.mgr and see whether the title is coming properly. I see this problem with many models. Also the phone is showing switched off once you start wlan or bloothooth syncor even when connecting to blue tooth car kit. Lots of bugs needs to be fixed.
skdking, 14 Feb 2010Ganesh, what about the feacher of GPS. Is it working fine?GPS is working nicely in UAE with E72
