Joe, 28 Dec 2009I have been using E72 heavily for the last 1 week. Here is my experience. Pros: 1. Excelle... moreThanks for that. Very helpful. I was either going to get the N97 or the E72 but I find the E72 to be better for me.
sold my N97, got two E72s, one topaz, one black....will not however sell my n82-it's already a collector's item as there are no longer brand news nor restocking!!
I loved the E72 especially Topaz Brown colour
but afraid the colour will get dim.
Any owners please answer
Prince78, 25 Dec 2009any e72 user please help me out.. has anyone updated their quickoffice version on e72. I'm hav... moreI too have a E72 & i had the same upgrade problem. I visited the quickoffice site & registered myself on the support page. Then i mentioned that i require a upgrade to my quick office,I created a problem ticket & Quick office sent me a upgrade link within 24 hrs.
Phone is already stable and very fast.I did not notice any bug. Also did not face any freeze.
Dont even hesitate for battery, very nice.
But if u r not in a hurry to buy a new phone like me,
wait for the lower price.
hi freinds i brought nokia e72 last week ... its good phone.. intially typing message was difficult now ts ok.good business phone and we can say its mni laptop...only draw back is poor camera quality 5 mega pixl clarity is not there.. and coolest thing is software can be installed. so where ever we go we stay online.. so if any one got doubt on it ask me or call me 9995474732. i am from cochin.
If you are wise and patient and not easily tempted or manipulated by advertising, buy the E72 after ONE YEAR has passed from its launch.
If you want to have STABLE operation, wait for six months before buying this.
If you want to have lots of problems with the TEST FIRST BATCH UNITS, go out and buy this NOW, NOW, NOW.
If you want to save money, wait for six months.
If you want to throw away your money, buy this now.
If you are strong and cannot be easily TEMPTED by advertising, wait for six months or better yet, ONE YEAR.
If you are weak and easily manipulated by advertising, then buy this unit NOW, NOW, NOW because you cannot wait.
Last year's gadgets are more stable, the problems have been ironed out and most of all: YOU SAVED MONEY.
The best decision? Buy the E71 or the E63 instead of the E72. You won't regret it.

Zhanna, 29 Dec 2009Can anyone please help me and tell me how to disable fade away effect on Nokia e72? Thanksgo to themes and hit options, then turn theme effects to off
Reading your review is funny.. Did you try the bluetooth ? Can you see the BT is not stable with nokia speakers and stereo headset ? Can you see the 600 Mhz core reported by third party software because xplore report 192 only ? If you look for a better display check for right resolution on other phones. E72 display is ok, according specs. But have big problems with firmware. If you cant see you are blind or cildrens.
hyde, 29 Dec 2009no,i'm a proud E72 user...
i know what u mean...not enough pixel?i read somewhere that somebo... moreThats the problem i have e52 but getting e72 soon.I am not bothered about text looking blocky personnely but on e52 its not smooth as in letter A having a staircase type effect on both slants on the A not the slants on the A have nice straight smooth lines..The letter C looks ok but the N Has staircase effect on the slant bit of the N..
On the browser the letters seem smoother when the letter takes up only 1 pixel width but in office the letter width is 2 pixels wide,,so if somehow the text can be shrunk so it takes up a width of just 1 pixel the fonts get smoother..My goodness must get some headache pills..
Can anyone please help me and tell me how to disable fade away effect on Nokia e72? Thanks
i suggest you to read Symbian OS Smartphones For Dummies!!! and you wil be fine.
