Hi all, i have BB curve 8900 and am thinking of upgrading to E72. i have some questions for E72 users.
- How the e-mail experience differ from BB?
- With BB, i cant see the email attachment if its more than 1024 Kb. The message would be truncated due to the size of the attachment. Does E72 have the same problem?

played around with this phone umpteen times, and i think it is a great phone. haven't noticed any of the problems mentioned on this website. plan to get it next month for my birthday, hope the price will have gone down a little more by then:)
although it's only mentioned that the phone comes in topaz brown and black, i was messing around with one last week which was actually a silvery grey in colour. and it looks great! so will be getting that one.

Wisdom, 22 Dec 2009If you are wise and patient and not easily tempted or manipulated by advertising, buy the E72 ... moretell me earlier about this! though the only thing I find bad about this phone is it's lack of intuitiveness, getting the settings working perfectly takes a long time. Luckily I'm a guy who enjoys to mess around with the settings.
The mobile internet/wlan setting is killing me though.
If you are wise and patient and not easily tempted or manipulated by advertising, buy the E72 after ONE YEAR has passed from its launch.
If you want to have STABLE operation, wait for six months before buying this.
If you want to have lots of problems with the TEST FIRST BATCH UNITS, go out and buy this NOW, NOW, NOW.
If you want to save money, wait for six months.
If you want to throw away your money, buy this now.
If you are strong and cannot be easily TEMPTED by advertising, wait for six months or better yet, ONE YEAR.
If you are weak and easily manipulated by advertising, then buy this unit NOW, NOW, NOW because you cannot wait.
Last year's gadgets are more stable, the problems have been ironed out and most of all: YOU SAVED MONEY.
The best decision? Buy the E71 or the E63 instead of the E72. You won't regret it.
gotrimz19, 22 Dec 2009what different applications can i install in E72??can anyone tell me how the nokia messaging for IM works on the e72?
also, any opinions/user feedback about the phone would be good :)
Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Nokia E72 all the way, i have one, used N97 mini, after E71, returned it in 1 day and got the E72, best build quality, top end features. No experience about Blackberry.

Nokia E72 vs. Blackberry Bold 9700 Video
E 72 has failed.
Not in specifications. But in PERFORMANCE.
It is sluggish. Doesn't operate pull mail. Nokia Messaging doesn't support certain pop3 servers.
Even for Gmail/Hotmail, if you have selected the option for keeping mails upto one month in the phone, it keeps only the last three days.
For pull mail you want the ONLY last 30 mails. But in auto retrieval it will continue to add up in your mailbox and thus using up your phone memory. ( mails cannot be stored on the memory card - LOL)
Space bar stops working suddenly and then starts working after you REBOOT.
So it fails in its supposed "forte" of messaging.
IT IS A MESSED UP DEVICE. I have it, and HATE it.
