Is there any software that will allow me to play all my 30FPS VGA videos that ive taken with n95/n82/n85/n85 and so on,,i have e52 at moment but hopefully getting e72 but e52 wont play these videos and its the same spec really with VGA 15FPS and 600MHz proccessor..thanks.
MY irony with E72 is just got the Topaz color as bit different from same white & black. But to my surprise China made has showed it all. Home button scratches when pushed light leaks all around plus centre pad touch plastic came out on 20th day, had to stick it back with glue. Very dishearted to carry it an 500$ device in office, knowing in mind its assembled defects under direct authority of Nokia Finland.
Under a month launched nobody buying at half the price. Pathetic Nokia after a rise there is definately a fall
It is indeed a superb piece of work.
However, Nokia could do well to replace the speakerphone which is barely audible in even quiet environment and conferences with multiple people. You will probably need an amplifier to hear it well. I wish Nokia had taken this prime note to atleast make it competitive with E71's speakerphone.
Hope they can come out with a fast corrective measure to this.
please do not compare the e72 to the phone you use its not the same thing.that is ignorance people this is not e71
Un happy User, 15 Dec 2009After waiting close to 2 weeks, I have made up my mind either go for a BB or a n series phone.... moreIf you like this type of fone nokias 5730 is tops in qwerty with all the smartfone stuff and its sister version the nokia e75..
Dr Mojeeb, 15 Dec 2009I've been using this phone since last 2 weeks and one thing i can tell is the phone is superb.... moreHello Dr Mojeeb..
I think your mobile has an defect with the Keypad (light leaking issue). Now a days mobiles are coming with very good fitting. Check with the other E72 mobile..
I've been using this phone since last 2 weeks and one thing i can tell is the phone is superb.. The only regret i'm having is the light leak from the sides of the keypad.. It is a very stable phone considering the initial firmware of the phone.. All the bugs can be solved by firmware updates.. Software is far superior and faster than the e71. Design is very good.. Gallery, cammera and music player is superb. No regrets.. Will recommend this phone to everyone.. Waiting for firmware updates.. Hurry Nokia!!
Hi guys I am a blackberry curve 8320 I want to buy e72 is the qwerty is easy & fast to type? Please the owners of e72.
After waiting close to 2 weeks, I have made up my mind either go for a BB or a n series phone. All the comments just makes me hate this phone so much. Thank you guys . Would any1 recommend a phone tht is good for web browsing & Qwerty . thnz ;)
That very bad customer support for just 20days old mobile. But Nokia India is planing to give extended warranty by paying extra money. There is no use of having Nokia Warranty. If this is the case I would have purchased it from the Gray Market.
Very bad customer support in India. If the handset has an issue and you didn't identify within 48 hrs time.. It is very difficult to get a support/repair for the manufacture defects. They have taken my new e71 for 3 times to repair the Manufacture issue and failed to rectify it. I don't know where to report this issue.
For the guys who feel the interface of E72 is a little slow. That feeling is given by the animation effects of teh FP2. Go to themes > general > options and deactivate the there effects. You will get a totally different phone. Much snappier and extremely fast menus.
waiting to order this as it due in p??y dot com on 15th december but due to it been preorder its instantly sold out right now 3.35am 15th..
I am using this phone from last one week replacing i phone 3gs. I found this is better handset then i phone in many ways and value for money. I do not find any major bug camera os and battery is very good. Stable phone. Worth buying.
Just received my E72 today, to replace an I phone 3GS which replaced a Blackberry Bold. For me the E72 does what I need with out the fuss or confusion of the others. All I need as an excellent business phone, battery life is far better, real keys over the I phone are better, and the more intuative operating system compared to the Blackberry is much better. If your in your 40's like me and dont want a kids 1 minute wonder phone, then this is for you!
bennmac, 14 Dec 2009So is the Nokia E72 a good phone? I have read all these posts and am still undecided on whe... moreNo in Australia you will still need a data pack from a carrier. The majority if carriers here now have data plans, where you sacrifice a few calls in exchange for added data. As for this phone it's interesting one some people love it, some people hate it. Personally when I used it, it felt typically symbian a little slow and cumbersome, but that is just me. Personally for what you need I'd be more inclined to be looking at Blackberry's, iPhones etc. far more efficient at those tasks (once again my opinion).
The E72 is a good product but if you want to know the truth go here: http://nokiae72bugs.wordpress.com/
Or google for "nokiae72bugs" and wordpress.
went from nokia n82 to nokia e72.... i am very dissappointed !!!!!!!!!!! never expected this from nokia after i have spent 490 euros for this crappy device!!!! it is slow, light leakages make it look cheap, freezes when playing videos over youtube, screen resolution is crap and Yes it has firmware bugs...... Nokia Do Something!!!!
halim, 14 Dec 2009Totally waste of money.. I thought I was upgrading to a better phone than nokia e71, but this ... moreSo is the Nokia E72 a good phone?
I have read all these posts and am still undecided on whether to get it or not...
I live in Australia, and will be using the phone for messaging, email and IM...to the extreme...with of course some pictures and music, but is it a good phone? Can anyone give me honest opinions on whether the phone will suit my needs....?
Also, the Nokia Messaging lifetime subscription, does that mean once I set up my email and IM chat, I get unlimited email and IM? Or will I have to be connected to a network (cost!) to access them?
And how does the IM function work?
Any opinions will be appreciated...thanks :)
