i am planning to buy this phone so pls tell me is it gud to buy this handset or not as i herd dat there r lots of problems in this handset...is it true????
hTep, 07 Dec 2009Try to search PhoNetinfo instead phoneinfo. I confirm it's a 600hz procYup you're right!! If you buy your phone in fact any phone, please buy from a trusted and reliable shop/retailers.
I don't think you will be cheated on the processor speed etc.If not, with thousand or millions users of Nokia will surely complain about that. And Nokia will definately be at a lost....
navin, 07 Dec 2009great input dear...
would request all to provide thr detailed experience about email and IM... moreNavin, there is only one word to describe the Email experience - "STINKING".
The mail client sucks big time.
1)You ask it to download headers along with attachments, it only downloads headers. When you want to see the attachment, you waste your time trying to retrieve it.
2) If you have a "email attached" to the mail you have received, then you cannot open that "atached mail". It just doesnt show.
3) Nokia messaging has been detected as suspicious behaviour by Gmail. Gmail has made me change my account password twice in the last one week.
4) There is no way to delete the message only from the phone. If you delete in the mail client, it will also delete it from the server. As in E63/E71, suppose you have downloaded a heavy attachment, and later if you want to free the space, you could delete form the phone only.
But the ADVANCED client deletes directly from the server.
This is a pure messaging device, if not a business device. But I find users on this forum only talking about plastic/metal and processor speed. No one who will give a correct hands-on. I may have dropped E72 a couple of times but the plastic hasn't broken.
One person posted a statement saying that there is no advanced call manager, but IT IS THERE on E72.
E72 is good except for this e-mail client.
Adrian13, 04 Dec 2009I have some experience with nokia messaging

would request all to provide thr detailed experience about email and IM set and also usuage... guess this time nokia has come up quite close to BB

I saw both the E71 and E72 before buying. On 5/12/09 I bought it. The major purpose was mails. I have a 24 hrs GPRS on for my lotus notes data traveler. I also used moderate internet and huge SMS yesterday.(around 80) With all this the battery has come down by 3 bars.
Mails like Google and Yahoo also once if you set the Sync timings, mails are coming automatically.
Yeah I accept that build quality is not that solid compared to E71, otherwise over all looks fine so far.
I have Nokia E72 from 3 days ( buyed in Austria, 370 euro, whithout contract, never locked), made in Finland, black colour. First impressions: build quality is much under the E71, some minor software problems, it was freezing couple times and restart itself. very fast and nice interface, call quality is gorgeous and the same for battery life. One for all is a nice phone, but if you already have a E71 ( like me) i think you can stay with your old ( and very good) E71, at least for a while. Please excuse my bad english, german is my native language.

Anonymous, 06 Dec 2009your need to install the new PhoneInfo software. The old one only shows 197mhz.go get an update... moreThanx a lot for reply
I hereby Order Nokia to either manufacture its sets in China, as SE. But same model you find both China and Finland and Korea. What does this mean, there is a hell of difference in E71 against E72. Weight finish and durable, gaps between front panel and light emitting between front keys, this is chinese made, obviously.
