I found E72 as the best option among all other handsets. Its main plus is its battery, good looks (dont compare), speed, symbian Os (lots of applications and stability), business and productivity features, sunlight legibility and 3.5mm jack with good sound. All in all, its more practical.
After going through reviews here, I found two shortcomings which I need to clarify (specially sheriff):
One, whether its speaker is that bad that you cannot hear calls when loudspeaker is on or whether it sound low because of its located at back side. My current phone has bad speaker which affects loudspeaker call in car and other things such as songs and speech.
Second, whether there is any defect in navipad built. Whether we should wait for new units to come.
Sherrif, I am not from Banglore but my brother is there. Whether E72 available at NPD there and at what price.
Thanks in advance
I don't have much money to spare. with the economic crisis, I can't afford the E72. So I have made up my mind to buy what is affordable - and that is the E63.

Ness, 16 Nov 2009Hi everyone, I'm watching every single comment about Nokia E72 and also researching for it!... moreI'm also and Iphone 3gs user, and here is what I think. at first your not gonna like it much because you get used to the touch screen and graphics of the iphone, but after just couple of hours, I LOVE IT. As I said I'm an iphone 3gs (which is even better than the 3g) and to me personally it was well worth it, but then again at the end its up to you. good luck
I am confused between Blackberry Bold 9000 & Nokia E72. My main purpose is e-mail,SMS and of course making calls. Is the keyboard on Nokia E72 easier to use for email,SMS or for calls? Since the keys seem too small and they look cramped up in the keyboard. Whats the overall performance of the phone in terms of battery life, using it as Ipod and business purpose?

Thanks Jeremy. May I ask what your opinion is on the optical pad? Is it also loose in a way?
Sometimes when I press the right key on the D pad, I hear a tik tik sound. Is this normal?
I have a 6680 for 3 years and the D pad or any key doesn't produce any tik tik sound.
I also have the light spill at the bottom of my home key,it looks like a big white dot.I don't know if it is a manufacturing fault or maybe it is meant to be like that.
I love the phone though.
help me please.. help me.. my nokia msging is not working.. I cant get emails to come in.. i have all the right settings and all.. but still its not working.. please help...
Today I went to store eagerly to get my pre-booked E 72. But I was highly disappointed by the build quality of E72. The Keys were not firm as E 71 and metallic cover was poor, lacked the luster. Opti-Navi key was not appealing. Volume buttons were kinda chrome plated and looked cheap.
Then my heart fell back to my all time fav E 71 and got one :)
E72 would have been a killer, if they had the same build quality of E 71 and crafted the mobile in a better way. Moreover Black E 63 looks like E 72.
Hope Nokia brings out the E72x with better look and feel.
anyone , does E71 has voip over Wlan function like nokia E51 ?? someone who knows for sure.?????

I just bought a grey Nokia E72. Here is what I found out:
1. There is a light spill on the bottom of the home one touch key. It looks like a big dot of light.
2. The optical pad is a little bit loose and you can move it around a little bit. There were a few times (around 5x, after 3 days of use) where the D pad kind of got stuck on the optical pad while pressing it. For example, I was pressing left a lot of times and when I pressed right, it made a scratching sound because the D pad kinda got stuck on the optical pad. Is the optical pad really a little bit loose?
Can anyone tell me if this is "normal?" Normal in the sense that this is Nokia's factory's fault and we can't do anything about it? Or can I have it changed for a better one from the store I bought it from? I bought it in Mall of Asia, Philippines.
Also, I've been trying to set up a mailbox. On the selection menu (Ovi, Ymail, Gmail, Windows live messenger, Lotus notes, Others) Everytime I select one and input the required details, it just says "Saving Settings" then "Detecting Email Settings" and goes back to the Selection Menu. I do it again or select a new one, but the same thing happens. For Ovi selection, it brings me to the Ovi login page. And after signing in, it says setting up email, but still it brings me to the selection screen again. I am connected to a wifi and my internet is working.
Thanks in advance for the help! =)
