kalboflyscot, 27 Nov 2009Hakeem, is your phone a Made in China model and if so do you know the processor speed, is it 1... moreDear friends.Maybe some people will not like what I tell here. I am an European electronic engineer working for an European electronic company without any relation to the mobile industrie. I am living for almost 7 years in China and I am working here in the electronic industry. Please stop this idiote talks about Chinese companies producing less quality products. Of course if we talk about all Chinese electronic products you buy for few euro you right, do not expect quality of these toys as they are produced to work a few weeks. But please realise that products as Sony,Nokia, Motorala....... produced in China are made in ultra modern companies as there are no in Europe and the Chinese engineers are very skilled people as it is hard to find in Europe. Believe me, for brands as Nokia, made in China means at least as good as made in Finland or wherever.
Apparently, there are lot more issues with this phone than what we see here... check this out.. and this guy didn't mention some of the issues mentioned here.. probably, he didn't experience those issue... anyways check this out...
hakeem, 27 Nov 2009here in malaysia it costs me RM 1670 or USD 490...i dont know whether it is cheap or not.Hakeem, is your phone a Made in China model and if so do you know the processor speed, is it 192MHZ or 600MHZ? I'm still trying to find out if it's true that the made in china are 192 and the made in korea 600??
hakeem, 27 Nov 2009here in malaysia it costs me RM 1670 or USD 490...i dont know whether it is cheap or not. That sounds about right as here in the Philippines it costs approx US$450-460. I won't make the same mistake again this time if I buy the E72 as I did with the N97, I paid far too much when I bought it from Singapore Airport duty free, they charge way too much for phones, Lucky Plaza is good for phones if you are in Singapore and BB plaza in KL.

abc, 27 Nov 2009@beowulf thanks bud.. keep me updated im choosing between e71 and e72.. Your not on your own a lot of people are deciding e71 or e72,,the others are deciding whether to update from e71 to e72..
My friend bought one and he mentioned a crash or 2 but no big deal. He was only disappointed in de material, it feels so plastic and fake. He previous phone was and E71 so maybe thats the problem for him.
I myself bought an E71 today for 160€ :)
in the Nokia discussion page apears a post where people complains about the stability and frecuently crash. Please, can owners speak about it. THANKS
Hi. Just bought Nokia E72 yesterday and until now I'm very happy with it. I had a Nokia E71 before but I lost it so I knew what I was hopping for. But I have a question. My phone keeps popping up a message every time I unlock the keypad, asking me wich internet connection I want to choose/looking for a wireless lan.I guess it's some kind of automatic setting it's on, but I alreday tried everything and the damn message keeps popping up. Anyone knows how to turn that annoying thing off? Thanks
Just came back from outside now...I went and bought E71, I was ready to wait for the E72, but when i looked at both, i figured that E72 has the double the price of E71 for some specs that I personally can live without...Besides, I believe that mobile phones are not in investment, their prices fall sharply...
Believe it or not, i was in the shop where i bought the E71, a guy came in, after buying the E72 10minutes earlier, he tried to return it, He kept telling the shop keeper that he cant make calls, the shop keeper tried but no luck, the shop keeper refused to take it back...At least i feel good about a phone that i bought and know i can update to a stable OS.
Handset coming to India for a price of Rs 22989. These are official figures. Check it out at:
The handset can be out anytime now.
They reckon the e72 has a brighter screen due to the alteration of the sensitivity of the light sensor..Its nice to have the choice if its too bright turn it down..Still cannot understand the foto taking proccess,,do you have to have to optical trackpad activated to take a picture???
