E72 in Kuwait is available only in Topaz brown. No black or silver. Shops comment available only after 2 months or so.
There are E72's manufactured in China, Korea etc. Knowing Finland is the original, which is the better deal, as here in Kuwait most of them are showing manufactured in China or Korea.

Friends, the major differences in looks of E series and N series have been Metal on E series and Plastic on N series. It seems its time for Nokia developers to themselves refresh their minds and remember Why how they were able to make E series a success. E series have created a new trend and consumers who have adopted E for Excellence and not E for Economy. Nokia is smart enough to understand this and I am sure will soon ditch its Chinese manufacturing tactics of cutting corners where ever possible and making compromises to make a product cheap but fetch higher price. Consumers are not to be taken for granted . Its high time Nokia should step back and rethink before major of its customers start thinking that " ONCE UPON A TIME NOKIA WAS A EXCELLENT MAKER OF HANDPHONES "

I had been waiting for the E72 and was wanting to replace my E71 which is my favorite phone to date. I finally had a chance to play around with it in Hong Kong and came away disappointed. The optical d-pad feels worse than the d-pad on the E71 and I thought the newer Symbian seemed clunkier to the Symbian on the E71.
The camera is much better, but the interface is frustrating to work with and I have been a Symbian guy for a long time.
I will probably not buy a Nokia phone in the future.
brynn, 21 Nov 2009Hi Rajesh,,due to flooding here in uk the internets been down till i tried it about 4hrs ago..... moreI am not the Rajesh who used to do posts on D900 but I have read Rajesh posts as well as yours. So I have known you long enough.
Got my 72 about a week back at Singapore...The phone is AWESOME!!! agreed back cover is a bit gibberish but its not really such a bother believe me ....but those who are happy with E71 you guys are not missing anything spectacular... E71 is the numero uno guys and E72 is an upgraded version of the same.
great Batter Life
User interface is a bit faster than E71
camrea is much much better
audio quality (music and telephony) Great
Only setback a bit loose battery cover ...but please let this not stop anyone from using The Phone !!!

E72 Brown is hopless addon to E71 price double more plasticky, and weight of both battery covers explain it all. Home or menu button always jams & stuck when used while lying down. It's all about Made n China origin to be blammed.
Why are we Idiots are Dying to get it first show first buy @500$ price. An iPod worth 300$ is best for browse Internet free hand.
Loudness is bass but not loud even full bol in busy office, speaker being at back, USB cable 2inches hardly pratical to put set too near laptop. When are we going to change our habbit, at least one year use for any set is perfect nothing happens even my 15yrs old 3310 Nokia still working, what's the problem in call receive and SMS send main object of cell. E72 is flooped, Nokia should shift to China, as evident in it's finish quality.
Friends, Nokia E71 is loosing its market price every week. But I would say it is very unfair. E71 is a much solid built when compared to E72. E72 without any doubt beats E71 in features and capabilities but the huge price difference between 2 handsets is not justified. E72 has a bad built quality. The materials used on E71 are far superior. Compare the plastic part of E71 with E72,the quality used on E71 is more strong feel. Plastic on E72 feels cheap. E72 has been given brushed metal buttons in the middle of the soft key area and this is a welcome move but apart from that E72 lacks lustre.
haseious, 21 Nov 2009ok, everyone's subject to their own opinion about this phone, but i personally don't think the... moreAbout your comment E72 being more metal built, I would say to you hold E71 in one hand and E72 in other. Play with them, I mean click the soft keys and then press the keypad. You will notice that E71 feels much sturdier. If not than my E72 has a faulty construction.
Moreover in just 2 days the battery cover has started shaking and twisting rock n roll.
Moreover the side volume keys feel very delicate and feel like will crack in few days. There is a backlight bleeding from behind the soft keys and volume keys. All in All it feels like a shiny expensive toy which will loose its shine and feel cheap in few days.
If anyone have found otherwise please post your experience with this device. I am wondering if I have been handed over a faulty unit. By the way I am from Indonesia and I bought E72 at USD 480.
For anyone with this handset that has an E-71 as well, how can you compare the sound-quality when using a head-set? I am an E-71 user and I find the quality to be only fair if not sub-par to what I would like. I understand by all means to get a great sound processing handset I should be looking towards the Nseries etc.. however the full QWERTY KB, solid build quality and business functionality of the Eseries is primary to me over this.
ok, everyone's subject to their own opinion about this phone, but i personally don't think the phone looks cheap at all. specifically i don't understand why some people label it as "plasticky" when in fact, it has more metallic components to it compared to the E71 - the brushed metal surface of the soft-keys below the display, the metal rings that surround the d-pad, shortcut keys, the earpiece, the power switch, and the volume toggles are ALL metal, not to mention the chrome frame. don't get me wrong, as no phone is perfect, but for people who find it "cheap" looking, didn't you get to play with a dummy / look at it at a counter / test and hold it before you bought it?
oh and the optical navigation pad is naturally a little wobbly, as it is a key after all, like all the other ones on the phone. it's pretty much common sense, guys - if it's glued solid onto the phone, how on earth are we going to press it?
