For those of u from Mumbai, the phone is available at Alfa for arnd 25k, (w/out bill and warranty ofcourse!)
Today I go for window shopping. E72 is available in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia now. The price RM1,750 (USD460). The phone come with 4Gb memory card.
I'm currently using E71. I'm planning to buy E72 next month. I want to read the review of other user first.
Grr! Bloody Vodafone didn't ship my E72 until 3PM on Friday, so I now have to wait till Monday to get it. I'm fuming, when I pre-ordered it said 'Get it before anybody else', yeah right. Everbody else on Vodafone who went into the shop has got it, and me, with my advanced pre-order is left in the cold. Terrible customer service, I will definitely be complaining!
airienne, 15 Nov 2009im currently using E71...but im confiuse now wether to take N900 or E72.. any idea..?Can't offer you any opinion for n900 but as you are a current e71 user, upgrade consideration that you want a faster processor, 5mp camera, nokia messaging, optical d pad. They only thing that i dislike about the nokia messaging is the inability to automatically send a copy of email to myself. Unlike the e71 of which could be set. You still could send a copy of your replied or composed mail but it has to be done manually of which i find it really painful. I'm sure in due time nokia would add this feature into the firmware.
As for the image gallery, getting those thumbnails out from e72 is super fast compare to e71. E71 lost by easily a mile!
sorry about my previous post saying that there are no accelerometer. There is accelerometer but only applicable for alarm and incoming call. If you turn your phone face down, then it will mute the call or the alarm. I feel its just another gimmick like the navi touch pad. I personally switch it off myself. Regarding the build quality, i feel it looks much nicer than e71 and the phone is more classy but at the end of the day, it still depends on self preferences. Its better to look at the set personally. Well, ive been trying to find m compass till now and i cant find it. Not even mention in the manual book so i assume there is no compass.
bernard, 15 Nov 2009i just bought the e72. wonder how to use the tap for time? or is there a way to see the time i... morejust press and hold the d pad button, as this feature also available for almost all the e series phone.

Just started to test the phone. So far so good
No phone is perfect. I started looking at iphone, bold
and finally end up with e72. Some phones may have a lot hitech stuff which u do not need. I was initially captivated by iphone and no doubt the multimedia content is undisputable. But I a civil engineer running around under the hot sun with sweaty palms. So touch screen is not practical for me although i would prefer iphone display, interaction and content
Other things to look at is the overall package eg price , pay extra for data plans .....
Sorry guys, I forgot to mention in my previous message - what games come on the phone? I know I can install numerous from various websites but I am just curious and what to wet my appetite more before I purchase this 'Walking beauty' aka 'The Shiny Bullet' next month. Just to think, my impatience almost make me get an iphone 3GS or the better N86. The iphone is such hype it's unbelievable. The N86 is a tremendous multi media phone which I would have got if it were wide screen/Panoramic view. I've had enough of slide phones, flip phones, pull out keyboards, touchscreens (I currently own a Nokia 5800 which gets traded in for the E72) etc. Candy bar format is the only way.
Hi guys, to those lucky few who have the Nokia "Shiny Bullet" E72, my queries are as follows;
Can you confirm no accerolometer? I am not too bothered as I prefer Panoramic views anyway (which we get on TVs, PC monitors, laptops etc). This is why I love this phone.
Is charging only USB or can we choice between USB and a normal charger socket? What charger socket is supplied?
I am considering getting a 16 GIG Memory card? Will the phone take that? Do any of you have a 32 GIG SD card installed which works perfectly?
Is the phone plastic as I have heard or metal like the E71?
It is NOW available in the UK from the Nokia website and the Nokia Store in Regents Street, West End London. Surely it now available in Western Europe too and South America, Asia and Africa?
I think I prefer Silver or Black. Topaz looks ugly IMO.

Consider this in real life,
Bluetooth (whatever versions) is consider... moreMan I'm an iPhone 3G user that's why I'm asking is there a bluetooth transfer! u got it I know! :)
I'm tired of NON-FUNCTIONING iPhone that's why I wanna buy a MULTIFUNCTIONING phone!
I think E72 is the Best choice in the market now:)
