babak, 07 Jun 2008no its not a good phone i had it and change it with nokia n95 its camera is good but not b... moreMy experience is the opposite. I changed from N95 to E90. First of all, E90 battery last a whole day whilst N95 last 3 hours. With N95 on a jogging tour you would have sportstracker, radio or music player active. Suddenly you spot something interesting and you wish to shoot a picture. The N95-1 memory will not allow this and the battery drains in no time. So, if you can carry the weight the E90 is a better choice. And there is a keyboard backlight. Press the key with the bulb and your enlighted.
no its not a good phone
i had it and change it with nokia n95
its camera is good but not better than samsung d900i
just i loved its gps receiver because thats too fast
also there is no theme anywhere for this phone
its qwerty keypad has no light and u can not use it at night
so i suggest you not to pay for this phone because n78 and n95 are better
To the 2 posts below, ye size is the problem, but bettery is perfect! It runs for the whole day even if you use it like 10 hours, GPS or whatever. Internal GPS is suported by third party aplications let me see: Garmin -works
Googla Maps-works, Tom Tom also new version now- works. That all i tried there are sure to be more.
Now with new firmware i can watch youtube viedeos directly from my browser! I have like 10 aplications open, real multitask.
And abaut price, you can get it for 300-400EUR a half year used one, or 500EUR new one, that is too expensive, for suh device?? I will be selling it when X1 comes, will you buy it? :P
gemses, 05 Jun 2008too expensivei like to buy nokia E90 but still very expensive for my pocket ;D
Size and weight
Third party applications incompatible with the built-in GPS
Charges for navigation capabilities
Multitasking still not perfect
Inadequate battery life
No small-size charger like in the N95
No camera lens cover
Wired headset with a 2.5mm jack, no volume control on the remote
No USB Mass Storage for the phone memory
Hi I am writing this comment using my nokia e90 and I've noticed that it's gaining votes rapidly ,so pls guys keep on voting for this phone.hehehe ,
Hi i have this phone for a good year. The first release with all the flaws you are talking abaut and i must say nothing is wrong with is.
Small flaws include keyboard to high, so screen gets a little pressed not realy scratch you only notice when screen is black or turned of, but not by using it. Other than that the phone is perfect if fell down abaut 10 times form 1-2 meter very hard. Scratches are hardly noticable.
I must say it is realy a laptop replacement. And recent firmware is even better with youtube directly from browser! Battery hold the whole day long and i am 24/7 connected to push mail every 5 minutes and talk to MSN messger, with oficial Live Messenger client for Nokia. SOmetimes with UMTS/GPRS and i also have WI-FI ruter at home, so i use that when at home.
As far as keyboard goes i type maybe only 25% slower than on PC! realy great i must say.
I am writing right now this post from it on a bus :P
For me it fits nice enough into my pocket. I have Garmin Installed on it and use it in my car, or sometimes google maps when i am walking.
Although i must say i am getting an SE Xperia X1 when it comes out, since it will be the first Windows Mobile phone to have as good hardware as E90, actualy a little samller screen, but toutchscreen, other than taht they are the same.
The real difference is softwere, so WM Operating system. I just must admit that on Symbian some things are realy hard to get to work with, like LAN, with computer, remote desktop, the all work, but on WM you have better programs for that. So if buying now buy this one, if you want to w8 buy Xperia X1
i ve been usin e90 for 3 months and i love it but recently i ve been losing all my phone contacts transferf from sim and phone keeps rebooting like 5 times a day.i ve mail for exchange running and opera mini 4.1.could these softwares be responsible.Pls advice.thanks and God bless.
I really hate china phones, they keep on copying nokia phones models. Its really unfair.
for all dumbs who says that this phone has problems..........this phone is the best simply the best it does not have any problem at all and i am using it at 100% .the business applications are too good the music is so loud and clear through it's 2 stereo speakers, the camera quality is overwhelming it is the same as n73 even better from my side. keep buying this phone it worths it's money ....good job nokia once again
Takes ages to scroll through functions, drop lines and disconnections are a norm. I will definately not recommend this unit.
A beaut business product.
Pity it was not taken on board by the Telstra NextG network here in Australia.
