Just saw the E90 going for about US$850 and the SE P1i for about US$580 here in SGP. That's a pretty steep difference of about US$230 which is 47% higher than the P1i.

Still having problems with mine...

I like the style, and the smaller size from the old 9500, but with BlackBerry connect and VoIP "Truphone" running it keeps comming up with "Maximum number of connections in use. Close an active connection first"
Seems a step back, like the problems we had with 9300 and multipule APN's compaired with the 9500 which would surf, run blackberry and make a call at the same time.

I hope this is a firmware issue and not a limitation of the phone.

As for the size of the E90 just compare with a similar one...as for the lens cover, how many smartphones/ppc you got in the market with it? As far i know only SE...
For Yogesh Parkar, I wouldn´t worry about the 1st or 2nd batch of the firmware. On the PC Suite you have an application for update...just connect your phone and you will have the latests updates...or do it through the Nokia site.

Yes with 3-th party software. Remember is like a PC. If you just bring it home is pretty 'dumb' until you put some 'stuff' on it. Actually I very much doubt you need one if you ask a question like that :)

Just ordered and received my new E90 2 days ago. Everything works flawlessly, no bugs or issues. The build quality seems excellent, excluding a cheesy battery compartment cover. Anything that's less than desired I already knew before ordering, such as the lack of UMTS high-speed data bands for the U.S. Why Nokia chooses to not include those, when several PocketPC PDA/phone makers such as HTC do, is beyond me. Guess they don't give a good crap about U.S. customers making high-speed connections. Plus the U.S. of course having to be different from almost the entire rest of the planet with their carrier frequencies. But as I said, I already knew that and wanted it anyway for the large interior screen. The high-speed connections of my former device were a trade-off. Overall very happy with it, and digging the readability of the large screen for Internet and e-mail. Plus no longer having to get the "stick" (as my wife calls it) out and tap-tap-tap on a touchscreen as with my previous PocketPC unit.

In my last posting i was talking about facing problems, only, with the speaker...well after preparing my E90, with QuickOffice 4.5(upgrade), lots of word and excell files, PPP, 356 photos, games,music,e-books, among other... the speaker is crystal clear! Just had to switch off/on after installing some app... Again, amazing piece of work!

To Josh,
You can find a lot of free software, even on gsmarena's page (Mobile9. Scroll down the page. You have to look in google search for free software and will have lots of sites, but when you have a E90 is it worthy to go for whatever software or better to buy it from a trusted source?

Thank you Paolo & Grim for the feedback.

The P1i has the form factor & the touch screen going for it, while the E90 mainly has the screen that can read web & docs better. Would expect to do a lot of doc & web reading on it & having something that is on all the time & easy to read is like having a book I can pick up anytime & carry on.

Currently own a HP IPaq 6828 & browsing or reading web or a doc is painful & am finding that a phone keypad is crucial for dialing/sms.

Hence, my dream convergent device is something with the 800x352 resolution, screensize & phone keypad of the E90 but with something as small or smaller thanthe P1i but with the touchscreen.

Surely Maher you should go for N95. It is the king of Nokia. If you see the price the difference is so much you should go dor n95.

Received today my E90 and I can only say...fantastic! The only problem I found so far is for the speaker...I'm used to get the latest smartphones/ppc (Nokia, HTC, i-mate,the latest SE P1i, etc) but this one really is TOP. Wheight is nothing as well size...you get used.
Answering Vincent's question, the answer is yes, whatever yoou can do with the internal screen you can do the same with the external, browsing, watch videos, pictures (only can snap photos with the external screen), etc...
