I would like to touch on HTC phone, particularly Dopod838Pro, as my basis of this comment baecause I am using Dopod838Pro ever since September 2006.
Who ever mentioned about poor multi-tasking is true, as after scrolling 3 more web-page this phone hangs.
Dopod 838Pro uses 128mB RAM and 400mHz CPU. I thought this phone delivers but has failed me on countless occasions. I don't know for sure how E90 can match this as 128Mhz RAM is also incorporated but CPU is 350Mhz slower.
The only exception is Dopod838Pro uses WM5 based as compared to Symbian in E90. If this problems are fixed, then E90 is superior and for that matter, I will change mine when the E90 is readily available. Any feedback on these issues are welcomed.
The E-90 will be available in JULY in the middle east... for the other countries i dont know but it should be at the same time... i have seen the prototype, the thing that i didnt like is that when u open the communicator the inner LCD needs time to light and display the content. but after all it was the PROTOTYPE. so i cant judge from now... and its much better from the 9500, 9300i and 9300 and all the old communicators...
This phone is actually looking really really good.. I just read all the details of the TI OMAP2420 processor and it looks pretty promising, even though it's only clocked @ 330mhz.. Integrated SRAM, dedicated 2d/3d accelerator, decidated imaging video accelerator, and parallel processing architecture just to name a few.. And on top of all of that, it actually has 128MB of system ram - no more running out of memory when using the web browser, or PDA viewing (or both at the same time).
It looks like Nokia is making top notch smartphones right now, and this is definitely one of them. Props.
This phone rocks - best smartphone/communicator ever. I have a feeling I will get rid of my buggy O2 XDA Atom Life soon. No touch-screen? That's a huge advantage!!! Nice job Nokia!!!
When are you introducing E90 to Asia? Are you waiting for others to come to the market? Thanks, you are really Gentleman if that is the case, but with a short life.
Oh yeah, go figure... this phone gets a 1500 mAh battery while others get ~900 if their lucky.
These corporate pencil pushing geeks need to wake up and smell reality and give what consumers need...
htc phones get on my nerves they are all churned out quick and most get rekitted by networks for their own brand this thing is a beast and should never be compared to htc,,yes symbian is buggy and slow but windows my goodness they have got someway to go before they produce a USER frienldy smartphone,,that said this comment "if its gone thru" was sent on the n73 because my windows comp is in a tizzy doing this then saying please wait,,then chuntering away doing this,,thats all its semms to do half the working day ,,for goodness sake by the time ive sent the comment by windows xp the e90 would be old hat
Question: Since the interface can switch back and forth, does this mean I only have one wallpaper for both screens?
this phone is awesome.the best features are available in this phone except touch screen.i am waiting for the devil.
first of all i think this E90 is a great phone.
it has all the things i seem to need. i ve been using the nokia 9500 since the day it launch.
but i really wonder E90 does it hav fax support. as it is very important to me. it will be a major turn down if it doesnt hav that feature.
witout it i guess i ll
probably get the N95.
may be if they divided the comments into specs, Q&A, Cost, Review it would be much better instead of people going through so many just to see if a person commented about it
Think about it
Ya right.. When is the phone available for sale in the asia country?? I can't wait to get hold of this phone......
Hi E90 freaks:
I have been coming in and out of this POST YOUR COMMENTS column for months and I noticed that questions, specifications, comparisons, prices and etc were repetitive.
To the new gsmarena viewers please, for heaven sake, turn back to previous comments made by fellow enthusiasts pertaining to the phone before even opening your mouth to ask and to comment.
Websites like symbian-freak.com, mobile88.com, symbian forum and many others give a clearer and understandable insight of this phone with pictures and videos.
In future do not waste this column space with questions and suggestions that were published long before you open up your mouth!!!
Reserve this space for comments and suggestions that are relevant to the phone.
After all many have said that this phone is not in the market yet and therefore on whose authority if I may ask for someone to say that this phone sucks here and sucks there.
Just wait for the phone to be available and purchase it if you like. If for reasons not known to us you don't like it, just go back to your dealer or reseller and change to another phone. Then only you have absolute authority to comments the degree of discrepancies if there is any in this phone. I am sure other E90 enthusiasts will appreciate that...
