Hello friends I want to ask a question to all lumia 1020 owners. How much time does it take to charge your phone from 0 percent to 100 percent? I am planning to buy this phone by selling my iphone 5. Please tell me honestly so that I dont regret after buying it. Does it take 3 to 4 hours to get charged? Please reply soon. Thanx in advance
using this phone for some time now and it's really good. I think about to buy a wireless charging cover. Does that damage the phone when you attach it? i.e. does it scratch on the places where the cover is attachted on the Phone? i am not waiting for a scratched phone once I take the cover off.

I am having a nice experience with WP8 but i switched from Android OS, so it's a little bit difficult for me to accept that Windows Phone 8 OS is restricted otherwise no problem with the OS.
Guys proud owner of lumia 1020...its been a month and I totally love it. I was coming from symbian... was worried how will I adapt. ...but trust me now I dont even miss my 808 pv...but I still have it...I use 1020 as main fone and note 2 as 2nd. But windows with live tiles and simple and colorful interface its amazing. The built quality is awesome. Samsung can never cme close to nokia in tat. Keyboard of windows is way better than tat of android.now iam confused should I replace my note 2 with lumia 1520 or or note 3 or htc one dual sim....will take tat call nxt year...I hope lumia 1520 came with dual sim... guys trust me windows is the future...nxt 5 years windows will be no 2...android is over done...its soo confusing for a person who is new to its worls...and too much malware...and crashes and slow

In my life so far I've changed many phones but I didn't get favourable result except Nokia. Right now I've Sony ZR and Lumia 620.,one can't believe whatever smoothness I feel while using 620 not getting in ZR.

1- Ultimately smooth and amazing fluidic OS.
2- All critical day-to-day apps are available (Viber, Whatsapp, Instagram, Twitter, Offline GPS, Tons of imaging applications and lots and lots more.)
3- WP8 is currently preparing the ignition of the new big thing WP 8.1 which I bet will be totally amazing and different.
4- WP8 is for people looking for a stable smart reliable OS, I'm one of those, Okay it's restricted unlike droids, but be i assure you that millions are no more than normal users.
5- 170K apps are more than enough for most.
Eventually, it's individual choice of each person to chose what fits his/her needs.

I am going to buy 1020 within 2-3 days, will u please make me aware of its camera. I know its awesome but I only wanted to know that how much mb 1 snap takes? And about zoom? Plzz tell me. Thanks.
It's like a handy DSRL. Very good phone with an impressive camera that beats the competition hands down. The only bad thing about this phone is, it's powered by Windows Phone 8 OS.
Create a Symbian-like launcher and place it on top of a newer OS like Windows (or Android)! :) This will keep the phones Nokia-user-friendly and at the same time, take advantage of the Windows or Google ecosystem.
It's the same way Samsung uses Touchwiz UI which they also used on their own Bada and feature phones. It keeps people familiar with the way the brand is used.

I'm surprised to see my Lumia 520 outperform my Note 2 in terms of smoothness. It's not about beefed-up specs, it's about optimization. My Nokia Lumia 520 has a weaker processor than my Note 2, yet in terms of smoothness, it beats the Note 2 hands down. WP8 I isn't a bad OS, it's very good but at this moment, it lacks a lot of features. Android, on the other hand, has been out for a long time and that's why it's more mature than WP8 but there are some fields where it gets trashed by WP8. Battery life of Android phones are shit, 80 percent of malwares are on Android, Lags and crashes, Google spying on user data, Android OS eats a lot of data, too many crap applications in Google Play and a lot more. Nokia Lumia 520 is my ideal phone for its fluidity and battery life. I'm just waiting for WP8 to reach its maturity. It's just Microsoft is way too slow.

Anonymous, 25 Nov 2013I agree with whoever said Windows phone is a bad OS. It's way too restrictive and can't match ... moreSure, android offers great customization and features ... you can't deny it, however all of this comes with a price. Have you ever wondered why all of the Android devices are quad cores. The simple answer is that the operating is very badly optimized. Android is a mess ... you can't say that an android device runs smoothly because it doesn't especially a dual core. If you look at most of the benchmarking software for smartphones you will see that dual cores of phone that have different operating system (other than android) outperform by a significant amount quad cores like the note 3 ... this is not acceptable in any means.
I have tried a low end Lumia and can say that I was impressed with the smoothness of the OS, even though I have an S3 with a custom bloat free android version that is very optimized but the way windows 8 runs on low end hardware is impressive, sure you can't drag a widget onto the screen but in my opinion I would rather have a smooth and reliable OS on any phone than a very customizable mess that the only way it can run smoothly is by increasing the hardware speeds.
People though have different opinions but I believe that a great phone deserves an optimized OS ... I'm glad Nokia never made an Android phone because quite frankly the way android runs I do not think that it deserves a phone like the Lumia 1020, however I'm also disappointed that they have never made another MeGo phone because the N9 is brilliant but what can you do.
use "moliplayer" application to play any type of videos saved either in memory card or in phone memory of wp8 devices. this is the best video player for wp8 devices.
