AnonD-162764, 24 Jul 2013is there any file manager in 1020 to transfer files from your 1020 to your portable hdd. And y... moreLol!! I never said that you must attach the external HDD while shooting pictures and videos... that would be uncomfortable!!
This is what I do..
just take pictures and videos as you travel and when you came back to the hotel or the place where you stay just transfer them in the external HDD. Remember that you will need an externally powered one because the phone alone cannot produce the power power needed for the external HDD.
I still dont know if it will really support USB OTG or it will come with the next update..
AnonD-162764, 24 Jul 2013is there any file manager in 1020 to transfer files from your 1020 to your portable hdd. And y... moreHuh? Even if there is such a thing called a low-power external HDD, it is still not compatible with USB On-the-Go.
I don't think Microsoft will add a file manager to Windows Phone 8 unless their R&D can prove that phones can be malware-free with file managers installed or if any anti-virus company dares develop a anti-virus app for WP8.
AnonD-162764, 24 Jul 2013whatever they support usb otg in next update but we can't use usb otg cable on 920 just becaus... moreSays who? If Microsoft supports USB On-the-Go for future Windows Phone 8 updates, the USB software in all WP8 Lumia phones will be updated to use this USB feature as well 'cause they use the same micro USB connector shape.
Please, I can also attach my old N8's CA-179 USB cable to my Lumia 920 with no problems and I can connect it to the PC as well so it will have no problems using the old USB On-the-Go adapter as well.
Is "Nokia" Swedish for "no brains"? -- no one with a brain wants a Windows phone. Who the hell wants to keep Microsoft in charge of ANYTHING?
Yet Nokia makes their flagship product a Windows phone, when they're trying to re-capture lost market share?
Wow, how stupid can you get?
I now have ZERO interest in this phone. Less than zero, in fact. I don't care if it comes delivered with a member of the Swedish Bikini Team devoted to my every whim.

kirru, 23 Jul 2013nice specifications but 1.5 ghz is lowIt seems low compared to android. But the os is unbelievable smooth. Therefore higher than dual core 1.5 is not really needed. But the extra ram will role out any issues you would have i imagine

I shall wait with anticipation. The Nokia Lumia 1020 may yet prove to be an attractive proposition as a secondary camera to my DSLR. Once again, thank you for that bit of information.
