AnonD-449783, 10 Oct 2015I am thinking of getting this phone. I have a Note 3 now and I am tired of the Android jack. E... moreI got it as a gift on my birthday in april 2014. No it does not slow down.. as it was when i bought it... android is a huge problem there...and ive seen people talk about apps ... i dont understand why.... i need only following apps
5. mapping... remember on the windows phone you can download maps of all countries if you want and you dont need internet connection.. it works all the time.
7. Very good camera
In 6 months a spot came on the screen the phone was sent for replacement and they did not do it in stipulated time so i was given another handset...
the handset i was provided has problem with image stabilization in video.. which the original set did not... the whole video shakes...
other than that no problems with the windows phone...
the considering while buying a 40k phone was that it did not become useless after 2 years... i dont see any need to change the phone right now.. other than shaky video.
When ever i change it... this goes into the car as a music player and 6 inch gps device.
Makes a much more sensible buy compared to any android device.

As a longterm android user and diehard fan of android. I must say windows phone is nothing close to android. Android is still the best. Have lots of hope on windows 10. But y am still holding this device even I like android is because this phone is amazing in its on ways. We cannot compare to android but what we got here is solid. Great battery amazing camera awesome display smoooooth ui and it goes on. 3400 mah battery is like 4000mah on android. 2gb ram is like 3gb on android. Sd800 is like 805 in android. This phone doesn't lags over time. Pretty good. But nothing close to android. Hope windows 10 will make it closer.

I am thinking of getting this phone. I have a Note 3 now and I am tired of the Android jack. Every Android phone I have had after 6 months starts slowing down. I was wondering how is the windows phone for longevity I just need a fone that can last all day, I watch youtube surf the Web and my note only lasts 4 to 5 hours. How is the 1520 on battery with very high use. Does the windows os have lag, just want a smooth lag free phone. I don't think that is a big ask in 2015.
Do we get windows 10 update?? Because l1520 not listed in microsoft's site
I purchased this set month ago and iam very happy with this😊
me and my heart also big old fan Nokia and Lumia .....
Lumia phones are awesome performance, we can't play more graphical games in android, we can play in windows like ASPHALT 8: AIRBORN. checked in almost every android but hanging the game resolution screen in android but in windows is performing very good. try it your self....
Confused, 30 Sep 2015Thanks bro. But for lumia 1520 os updates are coming for how much timeLumia 1520 is getting Windows 10 Mobile later this year and expect more updates in the future and it gets updates faster than android.
I have an xperia Z3+... it's a very good phone... but I have a lumia 930 and I just love it and can not get enough of it. so I say... U want to play then go with an android with a good specs, but if U just want to have a little pc in your pocket and to get your job done...windows OS is best and expecialy a mid to high end nokia
I like Carl Zeiss Technology. The Nokia camera is always good. But thats just it.

gabe, 26 Sep 2015Does the phone connect to T-Mobiles LTE network? I'm in CaliforniaI have used Lumia 1520 (Global version) RM 937 (235) with T-Mobile sim in San Francisco & Las Vegas with 4-G sim card. However got only 3-G signals with H+ speed.
The US 4-G LTE bands are different then those in the Global version RM 937.
However the 3-G speed was very good with negligible buffer.
Veera, 21 Sep 2015have you tried windows 10 using windows installer ??I have tried the beta version of the OS 10, since its still beta they are some things missing like the Office document isn't no longer part of the OS 10 for windows devices, avoid downloading the OS, I'd rather suggest yo'll wait for the final version, some things dont work so well with the phone so, I've decided to wait for the version when its ready for the market and vice versa.
Plz any suggest me which phone is best Nokia lumia 1520 or Sony xperia Z3 i love windows os and quality of sony
If you are still using this phone or wish to buy this phone donÂ’t be afraid of signal problems. I am using this phone for last 6 months. Was also facing this, was rather dejected. However was also trying continue to find out some solutions. Finally I got solution and it is working like a charm and happily using one of the best phone ever used/produced by Nokia.
Take 5-6 pieces (can be less if compartment of your sim card holder refusing to close) of thin copper wire in size 3-4 inches from electric wire normally we use. Rape it in few cycles on the metal holder of your sim card and take it out from sim card door. Now it is 1 inch or so is out. Add some more extra wire to it. Either with tape stick it on back of your mobile or if you are using kind of protective casing, hide it behind it.
It will definitely improve your signaling as it did for me.
Aitor Mitrouser, 16 Sep 2015yeah, you can, just download the windows insider app and check for updateshave you tried windows 10 using windows installer ??
