okoy, 21 Aug 2014 Is there somebody knows when will the Nokia 1530 would be launch and specs of it?hahaha what a joke did u not know there is no upcoming flagship phone this year and if u want more specs and high end phone go for note 4 or Z3 LUMIA left us alone with this 1520 we all want 1525 or 1530 or 1820 but who know when will it happen
Punith.33, 21 Aug 2014i think G.samson should take some rest now.... so many threads reply in one time.....:-).
r... moreWell this thread is quite active and hopefully i haven't been too...upfront...i'm not a troll...just here for a friendly discussion ;)
The point is...you should look at how YOU want to use your phone. There is no BEST phone out there. Battery and camera are MY 2 features i prioritise.
YES thavam, if i was to die, i'd like all my phones to be buried with me loll
have a good one guys and girls ;)
thavam2014, 21 Aug 2014Too all the 1520 users how many are planning to to use it maximum 24 months or ur friend next ... moreWhen you say outdated; you are describing that it's not new, yes? Well even if the phone is 'outdated', it is still capable of doing many things. Had an old note 2 (still do), and i could play the new spiderman game; i could play the walking dead season 2, i could play modern combat, etc, etc (in fact much better than my HOX; T3 failed imo).
And now we're talking about windows phone where the app ecosystem is...mediocre at best. SUre there will be 1 high intensive graphic game that tries to utilise adreno 430, but...is it worth it to fork out another 899 for a game?
The thing missing with this phone/windows is split screen. The big screen is not utilized fully at the moment. However, i feel that this has something to do with microsoft wanting ALL its' phones to have a cohesive experience, ie no fragmentation. Maybe the lower end specs do not allow splitscreen.
thavam2014, 21 Aug 2014Well said I appreciate all your thoughts and comments but smart watch when,we wear it though w... moreThanks for replying my friend. No matter what you buy, the price of that object will always decrease with time. Even the first iphone. Unfortunately getting a smartwatch will not increase your phone's value. It's surely NICE to have. But for ME, it doesn't add much to MY experience. I won't repeat my thoughts :)
Is there somebody knows when will the Nokia 1530 would be launch and specs of it?
[deleted post]Hey I phone 6 gonna come so we 1520 users only like to go high end specs and guys agree

Too all the 1520 users how many are planning to to use it maximum 24 months or ur friend next you will ask why am I using out sated or old phone after 2 years but 1525 or 1820 or they gonna be just dream

thavam2014, 17 Aug 2014What about ip58 dust and water resistance z1 and z2 and even s5 has it You have to be REALLY sure that the plugs are SECURELY fitted in. If there's a slight gap = water damage = out of warranty = out of hundreds of dollars. That was the reasoning behind lg g3 (and a few others)
Besides, I've had so many kinds of phones, i've never had any water damage. I've dropped my phone in the toilet once, but really...are you going to still use it? Do you really need to use the phone in the shower? Do you really need to use the phone when you're swimming in the beach? (note, the manuals do not recommend using your sony/samsung on the beach anyways). Are you really going to be playing with your phone while it's raining? How about get to somewhere dry?
Fair enough if you love hiking/adventuring, in which case this big phone isn't for you
thavam2014, 18 Aug 2014What about smartwatch even Motorola has and lg and Sony and Samsung gear they all have their o... morehad the sony smartwatch 2 with my note 2...didn't really do much honestly. Watch and the phone has to be in close proximity; ie. if you go for a run, then you still need to put your phone in your pocket, defeats the purpose.
1) Infrared = are you that lazy to pick up the remote?
2) camera = are you a perv? are you out of your mind for taking pics with a camera on a watch vs on your phone??
3) calling someone = yeah....no
4) calculator = i'm sure someone in your group has his/her phone out and will calculate in no time...while you attempt to input those numbers on a tiny screen
the only thing it's useful for is message preview...but unless you're the president of the united states, and there's a war that needs your attention asap...i can't see any reason to spend AUD 360 for the gear 2
but if you have your mind set on getting a watch, then there really is no need to look at windows phone...that's a given
Punith.33, 21 Aug 2014ok , how frequent you upgrade ur phone.
Definately not for next 5 months atleast, if i am not... moreI wouldn't be too concerned about being 'left' behind with windows OS. the rumoured lumia 1820 may have a snapdragon 805, QHD, etc; however the reality is there is not a lot of games that will need that extra firepower. Sure there will be one or two, however, most of the game developments are at iOS and android. PLus most windows sales are at the lower to mid range phones. Hence it will be a bit of a waste forking out on an 1820 (which in aust may be up to AUD 900). If you are able to get a 1520 at ~30-40% discount (brand new), that is an amazing deal.
EDIT: the one thing it will help is camera processing actually...but for 900 bucks? The lumia cameras are great for those who needs to get the right picture moment...no rushing. All imo
EDIT 2: http://www.techtimes.com/articles/9900/20140709/nokia-lumia-1525-with-6-inch-full-hd-display-and-snapdragon-801-coming-to-t-mobile-at-t-and-verizon.htm
thavam2014, 21 Aug 2014Thanks for your reply bro but why u consider the battery only u know if we owe a phone we alwa... moreThat's the thing about android that i tire the most. in 6 months something is coming out. Sony is the worse offender. Z, then z1, now z2 and talk of z3 soon. And their improvements are really minimal; same design, new chipset but no apps can take advantage of it. Sure you talk of futureproofing, but...6 months later...new phone lol.
Obviously i don't have the figures, they may be making more money that way. But personally, it is just silly. I don't change my phone every year, normally every 20-24 months.
