I have just purchased such a device about 2 days ago and in spite of the fact is the lowest from Nokia's Windows range I'm very happy with it , it works really well.
I've been using Nokia devices ever since 1997 ( starting with 1611 and just before Lumia 610 I had a E 63 for about 2 years )

why people comparint this with galaxy y.galaxy y is a bullshit phone crappy screen superlaggy,and on calling caller sounds like alien.my bro bought galaxy y on my recommendation and now he is cursing me.never buy that crap better off with htc explorer or 610.

@rohan: well it really depends since both are different operating systems. if u want to go for an android, i suggest u check the galaxy ace instead of y (since its a bare basic fone). my suggestion is to go with lumia...i have been using the 710 since the last 4 months & am very happy with the windows OS
@kartroc: i would suggest lumia 710 considering that the cost has come down drastically now & it has higher specs than the 610. if ur not aa skype user & are looking for a colorful fone, wait for the 610.

the cover of the phone that i have is color magenta it gets easily dirty
no secondary camera
im still trying to learn to use this if not ill rather change it

Do you need to use Ovi suite to download mp3's in lumia 610? If you are gonna use it and its like itunes.. do you think itunes is free? Would you think a big buck company would create free software?In return itunes copy ur music and sells them just as ovi suite..
