Nokia’s latest budget smartphone brings the price of admission to Windows Phone 8 below the £150 mark. From today O2 will sell the Lumia 620 at £149.99 on pay-as-you-go, a bargain considering what’s inside. The network will also chuck in an additional free colour cover.
Other operators will also offer the 620: Three and Virgin Mobile will flog the black-cased model from this weekend, and Vodafone will sell the cyan and white models from 6 February.
The 620 is similar in size to 2011’s Lumia 800, and offers a 5MP camera, removable battery, 8GB of storage (5GB available), HD voice calling and HD video capture. The wireless charging technology that Nokia is promoting heavily for its Lumia range isn’t available in the 620, however.
Clip on covers are available in lime, pink, yellow and cyan, as well as black and white; only the lime seems to be glossy, though. The others are matte and less slippery. It feels the most comfortable of Nokia’s new Windows Phone 8 range.
Despite the yoof-oriented colour palette, it has a very strong software proposition, bearing in mind Nokia’s offline maps and turn-by-turn navigation is thrown in. Whether it also finds a niche as a second phone (as some Reg readers have suggested) depends in part on its battery life – and we’ll be able to tell you more about that shortly. The 1300mAh battery is removable.

akash stepedup, 31 Jan 2013hey guys i love l620,, bt i want to knw is lumia 822 will be available in india coz it has kil... more822 is exclusive Verizon version of 820. So unless verizon starts their network in India, no chance
Well I am not really sure about it, india the 620 is not yet been launched, but one thing is certain, the 620 is a wp8 and the 800 is a wp 7.5, also the lumia 620 is newer than the 800, but the 800 has like 3 megapixels more in camare, is a amoled screen and actually is very nice looking cell phone and the 620 is not so good looking, but is new and has the wp8 so both are great. I bealieve they both have their pross and cons is just matter of people´s choice
however you provide handset whole details still not indicate its prise.
[deleted post]If you can't handle 5 Nokia phones, then what you are doing on NOKIA Lumia 620 page? Better search for your handset & post your comment there only.
DipalJot, 31 Jan 2013Hi,
To all the indians waiting for this phone to be launched, i just wanted to ask that what ... moreEither wait for price to come down or switch to some other handset (Company/OS).
Considering the specifications, can't afford to pay above 15K for this one when better options are available for cheaper price.
If this one is above 15K, it will fail due to Overpriced just like Lumia 920 & 820.

gxsaurav, 31 Jan 2013Good luck with reading extremely blurry text on your Galaxy Grand due to a very low DPI screen... more?
I don't see any blurry text on my GS2, my mates GS3 is even better and the GS4 will wipe the floor with every other phone out there.
[deleted post]Good luck with reading extremely blurry text on your Galaxy Grand due to a very low DPI screen like those sub10k Andrid phones.
It amuses me when people don't look at screen quality when buying a phone as that is how they are going to interact with device.
