I find this to be a very balanced Windows Phone device by Nokia.
This screen size and resolution combination resuls in pretty good DPI. It is very close to 300DPI at which magzines are printed.
512 MB RAM and 1 GHz Dual core CPU is enough to run Windows Phone OS and its app. Windows Phone is not plagued by slowness which haunts Android devices. It is as if Android OEMs know only to throw more powerful hardware at the OS and hope that the OS runs faster.
The best thing about Windows Phone is its User interface. This has a class. iPhone also has a good UI but it is old now. Although Android will let u configure your phone anyway you want but that will also take a lot of effort. Windows Phone has clean and to-the-point interface. There is no whizz bang in this. Just clean phone UI. All information is available at a glance. No need to find out which app is where or widgets to look at. Everything is at front. Android has no taste when it comes to design. Even though, now they are learning but then it needs high end hardware to work properly which is also costly.
Under the expected price of Rs 13.5k in India, there is no Android phone which can give smooth experience like Lumia 620. At this price point all Android phones either skip good screen ( most important) or skip internal memory. Lumia 620 is the most balanced phone in this price range.
Regarding apps, Android marketplace has more apps but then it also has been out in the market for more time then Windows Phone. I recommend looking in the market for the apps you need. They already have more then 1 Lakh apps in Windows Phone store, so you are sure to find the app you are looking for.
Pranav, 03 Jan 2013@HKS u should probably go for a android if u are interested in gaming. android is way more adv... moreWindows phone 8 doesn't need 1 gb ram. it is given just to give apps more headroom to work with but 512 MB RAM is enough.
This isn't some unoptimized OS like Android.
Nothing like. HD screen is just the high end version. They can even make phones with HD screen with 512 MB RAM. They don't make it just to keep the cost low.

The lack of radio doesn´t mean anything, but the fm-transmitter should be in all the "smart"phones nowdays. It´s the best way to share your music in party, car, where-ever.
Hey anomolus please help me i want to buy this phone but one thing that stop me that about its apps store.... Should windows 8 increase apps or not????
i going to die fr it..!!if nkia dsnt mke it arival...oo i tnk it sould be with rdio..
Sean, 04 Jan 2013People stop going on about RAM. iI have used the HTC 8S on 512 RAM and it has no issues whatsoever That's true. Windows Phone 8 is super optimized. It doesn't need much RAM. Android on the other hand, has malwares run in the background, so it needs 3-4X more RAM.
