If they are not sure about anything they simply would have said that they don't have any such info on price and the price will be announced during official launch in India only. Also I have asked the price question from three different representative via online chat through Nokia India website.
Happiness, 23 Dec 2012At this price range u won't get any amoled or ips, except nokia 700 and 603,but not from other ... moreI'm currently using 603 the display is wonderful, I understand TFT is used in 620 to keep the prices down then nokia should give its fans a wide range of choice they are making high end smartphones and almost low end ones even the 820 they're calling mid-end is a high end according to me..sumsung gives its customers a wide range of choice, nokia should do the same
I don't want to keep on buying phones from the same price point every a year and a half or so due to limited choice
kirubha4489, 23 Dec 2012whether v can download songs n videos frm any websites n play in wp8?i dont thinkso, can be dwnld frm other wbs..
At this price range u won't get any amoled or ips, except nokia 700 and 603,but not from other brands even galaxy s duos have tft @ 17500.I should inform you that lumia 620 though have tft, but it has some features of the flagship 920,820.
Rgb stripe,cbd,polarization filter,sunlight readability enhancements,colour boosting.
All these features will definitely give u a better display performance than many other phones at this price point.
Nokia please launch this phone with dual sim (normal sim not micro sim) please do this is very urgent required rest all is perfect
whether v can download songs n videos frm any websites n play in wp8?
nokia should be told to use TFT in asha series then for smartphones if not amoled then use better TFT that is (IPS-LCD)...I'm just not happy with the display of 620

the price in india shall be INR 14,500 -+ INR 1000...This is a fair price no one should complain...how many sumsung dual-cores sell at this price range!
With Nokia Lumia 620, nokia wil deliver windows 2 every 3 out f 5 common ppl in India.
Gosh its cheap, functional, worth every penny!!

So gudluck lumia 620 n to dose whu gonna buy it:)
I just found out that WP8 doesn't have (or microsoft doesn't let) 3rd party video player apps capable of playing formats not supported by default (mkv, avi for example) This true, or did I miss something
Happiness, 23 Dec 2012mr.nukeblitz, do u know that battery depends on ur screen? Super amoled(darker darks) uses les... moreYeah, and that's part of the reason why microsoft chose a lot of blacks for their UI - major battery savings with AMOLED screens. Ativ S and lumia 820, for example
But in any case, AMOLED vs LCD is one of those debates which is very subjective. I personally don't really care.
As far as LCDs go though, their power consumption, barring technological differences, is almost directly proportional to screen area (not screen diagonal, 3:2 3.5" is much bigger than 16:9 3.5"). This is because the backlight on LCD screens is what consumes the most power. Sharp's IGZO screens directly decrease power consumption by increasing the translucency of the pixel layer so that a dimmer backlight can be used without negative effects.
Now, nokia's clearblack doesn't directly decrease power consumption. It decreases screen reflectivity, which is very useful an bright ambient conditions but makes no difference in the dark.
That said, a 3.8" 15:9 screen is rather large for a 1300mAh battery. I would speculate that screen on time won't be spectacular but that would be just a guess. There a lot more factors that are at play when it comes to battery life like usage patterns, CPU and GPU efficiency, cellular network/wifi idling efficiency, strength of cellular network/wifi(phone compensates during periods of low signal strength) and so on...
There is no reliable way to estimate battery life without directly testing the phone...specification numbers don't mean a lot.
