FORGOT TO MENTION: You can use WP Internals to reflash the original firmware for the phone. WDRT (as previously mentioned) is dead, so you cannot use it to reflash.

well, you would need a few stuff to actually jailbreak it.
First, you would need Windows Device Recovery Tools.
The app is long dead, but it contains crucial drivers for WP. You'll need to find a offline installer for it (which is pretty easy.)
Second, firmware and recovery files. You literally can't find these anywhere else other than LumiaFirmware, which requires you send a email to actually access the website. You also MUST use firmware that matches the phones code.
Thirdly, WP Internals. This is what you'd use to unlock the bootloader (NEEDED for jailbreak.) Basically, you would need your firmware and emergency files, an Engineering SBL3 file (can find this easily aswell) and a "donor" FFU file (which I'd recommend you get from a Lumia 950XL, as that works best.)
Fourth (final), XAP Unlocker. This is what jailbreaks the phone, and allows it to install XAPs. You'd need to boot into Mass Storage Mode, and then run the app, and let it do it's thing.
This is, really, only a brief description so you could at least get the idea. I'd recommend you check out W10M Group, since they have really comprehensive tutorials!!

Now in 2025, the os is so unstabe.Now I'm of downgrading it. Consider giving me any advice, regards!

have this phone. It's generally an pretty fun device to fiddle around with. I have mine jailbroken (which is required if you want to get ANY type of app on it). It's still pretty smooth on WP8.1, which is something that I've always liked Windows Phones for.

I am still using a Lumia 625 as my secondary phone. It is running Windows 10 Mobile, which works very well even not fully supported like bluetooth doesnt work anymore, but Win 10M is very usable even for today. At least for me. Its a nice little 4.7 inch phone next to my HP Elite x3. I have a huge 50+ phone collection which over 10 is Windows Phones from Windows Phone 7.0/.5/.8, 8.0, 8.1, 8.1.1, and Windows 10 Mobile. Still my favourite Lumias are 920/925 and 1020.

I had this phone and it was perfect, loved the windiws 10 mobile and used it until like 2018. My friend had an s6 anf it was good but not as good.

Very practical phone for its time - has 4G, has good enough camera with 1080p, has awesome battery life that lasts 2-3 weeks if i dont use it. Only used it for a couple of months as my primary phone, the menu didnt lag, it had a big enough screen and had no problems when i dropped it. Only the internet browser was awkward to use, but i didnt use internet much anyway. Too bad the OS isnt supported anymore, i havent even though of getting a newer smartphone cuz they dont last more than 2 days in one charge. I just switched it to a regular Nokia 3310, and have been using the Lumia 625 as a camera phone for making videos ever since. Still works even though its 9 years old now. Unless they come up with some smartphone with good 1080p 60fps camera that also has decent battery life, or i dont find a good regular camera cheap, im probly not gonna throw it away anytime soon.

This phone accompanied me for 2 years, had to replace it due to the gorilla glass just cracked badly from falling like 60cm height and to replace the screen would be a real hassle since this phone by the time I got the glass cracked and almost shattered was in 2017. The year when Nokia have given up and bought by HMD iirc cmiiw
So sad that Nokia was a lab rat for Microsoft. They should've bail out from the deal and embrace android or improve symbian while android was still in its early stages of development publishing.
