I,m wondering why there's no FM radio on Lumia phones? Does anybody know if Nokia will include it in their future models?
I prefer Nokia for their superb navigation system and occasionaly like to listen to FM radio but don't like to pay for the internet radio.
I've been anxiously waiting for some new Nokia model with complete set of "basic" features to replace my old Nokia with. So, Nokia, please...
windows phones are not complete smarthphones. A smartphone should be able to:
1) Multitask: windows phone do not multitask, once you leave an environment/app to run another one, the former pause allowing the later to run. True multitasking is when you leave an app to run another one, the former runs in the background.
2) File manager: A smartphone is all about flexibility. How can you have a phone without a file managerand call it a smartphone. With a file manager you have control over your files and folder in the case of privacy
3) I do not understand why microsoft did not think of putting a data monitoring app as adefault in windows phone OS.
A smartphone without, atleast, the above mentioned functions is not a smartphone. Do not get me wrong, I love Nokia (i am loving to type right now) and windows phone is a good experience, but I hate to say this 'nokia is failing and falling', is it a big deal to run their midrange devices with 1g or 0.8g or 0.7g ram. For the saying that windows OS runs well on 512ram. I tried opening a pdf textbook with 55mb put it refuse to open unlike the 1g counterparts. When you feel like enjoying ur 512 ram windows phone by adding one of them sweet games and you find out that you cant do that, that is when you will start hating your phone
I love nokia phone and will not like to replace it with phones like samsung (a bunch of rubbish), iphone (nice phone but lacks flexibility), blackberry (is it still existing? crapberry!), motorola (bleeding seriously), htc (one of the nice phone makers around)
I love nokia/wondows phones (I even bought one for my Baby girl and she likes it) but without the above mentioned functions, I cant use it. Imagine l720 with 1g ram.
Good news :)
Retailer Saholic is now listing Lumia 720 without any price indication. This is the first listing of Lumia 720 at any retailer in India. Though the way it has been priced in other markets, expect it to be around Rs 18499-18999. Saholic expects it to be available by 30/04/2013.
If i have to buy it @ around ind Rs.16K-20K then Nokia should incorporate following
1. Dual sim is must
2. camera with ability to have clear images in dark
3. 16/32GB on board
4. 1GB-2GB ram
6. Corina glass
7. IPS TFT display

Those whom you called as nokia die-hard fans might be comprising just below 5% of the total market... Nokia has to join the competition or they will loose their integrity. As of now they are still far way behind from other mobile brands carrying the Android OS.
There'll be optimization versions of the hd games from gameloft go to ready for wp8 wit 512 MB RAM devices:-) so don't worry about games friends the L720 is better in Camera,Music,Maps:-)
for god sakes nokia its time to open your eyes now your ram not change n at all????

I am very much interested in buying this phone. i had a idea about low battery backup, but the people who used it r saying it lasts for a day atleast after 1-2 weeks. so its ri8 i guess. - after 3 weeks of usage I get two kinds of back, a 5 hr one when i play games and surf and a 12 hr one when i use it moderately.
the best part i love abt lumia is the camera. no issues with that. i mostly will use lumia for pictures, navigation, browsing and music. and sometimes apps.
but some r telling we dont get to store our apps in sd card. can that be overcome now or in future? - Yes, all your apps and games will go in the internal memory. Mostly will get the ability to move apps sd card in the future but can't say for sure.
heard that ms is going to withdraw support from win 7.5,7.8 or 8 in 2014 sometime. is that gonna affect anyway? - Fingers are crossed, but cant say. Personally I think it won't affect us, but depends completely on MS. To be frank, i bought this device keeping in mind that i will be using it for maximum 2-3 yrs.
can we do multitasking in it? hearing some issues abt it. can we open like 160by2.com, and send an sms while seeing the msg in our inbox without closing the browser? or mayb download a file or song while doing fb? can we download videos from youtubes or other sites? - No, multitasking is a big issue of wp. Though it maintains a snapshot the apps, but doesn't maintain their state. So if you are downloading anything and you switch to other app, the downloading will stop and you will have to restart it again.
some r saying that fm is going to come in nxt update, will be gr8 for me then. - There is a possibility as the hardware is capable but the software part is missing. So again, fingers crossed.
