I read few comments and these really made my day. Man if windows phone does not have widgets, it has live tiles where you can place ''widgets'' inside tiles. You can also customize background in WP8 and lock screen as well. Regarding OS customization. WP is not open source so, you can not edit the OS just like you can do in android after rooting phone. But that is not required as well if OS can satisfy all your needs. WP can fulfill almost all needs. Developers are now moving towards WP platform and WP store is also getting flooded with apps. Missing applications like good all in one media player shall also become available one day. But what is available today, you can compromise on it. Google developed its android from ground. Now, Microsoft is doing the same. Building strong business in certain field takes lot of time.
But I must say, if you are fan of some specific product, stop uttering crap about other products which you do not like.
End of rant.
AnonD-120942, 07 Mar 2013I have a galaxy note but i have bought a windows phone 8 (HTC 8X) windows phone still needs a ... moreYou can transfer via bluetooth as well. I think, You are just mislead by some one silly.
I have a galaxy note but i have bought a windows phone 8 (HTC 8X) windows phone still needs a tons of feature and application to be a smart phone, I have been shocked when i read that to add a ringtone i have to connect it to PC and copy my files manually to ringtones folder,I think having a smart phone mean that you will not need your PC any more not like that. but to be fair the performance and smothness is great on Windows phone .

i like nearly all of the configuration on Lumia but only the poor display pixel, 4.3"@800x480, what a stupid design!? Same as Lumia820.
it's not a good idea for people who like surff webs, read or work on this phone.
it's not hardware limits or cost limits, yes? 1024/600 will be more better
lumia 720 is definitely a midrange smartphone with highend features.nokia made realy outstanding about this phone.demand for the phone wil be amazing in india if it is at 18k.i love this review www.youtube.com/watch?v=_UnsPn7XjQI
[deleted post]This is a lower budget 720. Nokia offers everything you want and more - it's called the 920 and soon the lumia 1000. Now Fork up the cash.
[deleted post]It's you who needs it! Drop that phrase "we need"! You are not any under obligation to buy a nokia phone! Go look else where for ur outrageous specs! Or rather go open your own phone company!
[deleted post]Please Let me know L720 Release date in India...Nokia Priortity are saying in May ? is it true ?
[deleted post]Nokia will never release dual sim in high end mobile phone. You will find all the spec in china mobile that you need so go for it with low budget.
[deleted post]Please tell us more about this 2gb processor you speak of? Never heard of it
WHAT DA FOK, 06 Mar 2013Can som1 please get some sense into nokia's head? 1/3.6" sensor?!?!! are you serious? An ... moreThere focus was clearly on aperture. F/1.9 is really great for smartphone. I dont think sensor size would make anything for bad. Camera sample pics from Lumia 720 are already floating around. You should read this post to know what was going in Nokia's head while designing this camera. conversations.nokia.com/2013/02/27/an-innovative-approach-to-imaging-with-the-nokia-lumia-720/
Can som1 please get some sense into nokia's head? 1/3.6" sensor?!?!! are you serious? An awesome lens RUINED by some POS tiny sensor. UNBELIEVABLE. Could have been great. Maybe they got their image processing right. Fingers crossed....
[deleted post]and where exactly do you find all that with a pricetag of 250 euros? some of you never learn that a manufacturer needs to cover the entire market and the needs of the population. Some people dont want all those specs or they dont need them.
Therefore, i am more than sure than Nokia will fulfill your expectations, but with a high-end phone and not with a mid-range one.
