Fail fail fail! Can't do Skype videos cos no secondary camera, single core processor (really?), screen size too small, poor screen resolution. This thing is just not ready for prime time. Going with Galaxy Nexus or Galaxy SIII when it comes out. Another Nokia epic fail!
In my country win os is the last option. 4 example SE Aspen at march (9 month ago) worth 2.000, but today its only 950. With that os n that spec I think nokia made 800 only 4 rich country coz in my contry no one wants to spend to much money just to have mp3. No wonde nokia put only 16 gb memory coz they know there's not many people like to spend money only 4 mp3 or apps. Good camera means taking lots picture n vid n it means need more than 16 gb
Hmm , dont know if worths the money since i can get a Trophy 7 for half the money and it also gets Jailbreak and Lumia 800 doesnt.
Anyway i bought N9 and i'm very happy with it.
[deleted post]second hand HTC running windows are almost free, no1 want them, the owners want to sell them but they cant get an acceptable price and keeps them to avoid realizing the big loss. Basically they regret buying so expensive phone that became worthless so fast. Sony Ericssons running windows are also very cheap, a k810i will actually cost you more when buying second hand! Thats like a 6300 would cost more than a N8.
Same will happen with Lumia, wortless in less than 2 years. Remember this: Mid 2013 a used N95 will be worth more than a Lumia 800, time will prove me right.
Suue, 03 Dec 2011Which one's better ?? Nokia Lumia 800 or Galaxy s II ??Gr8 exp. Of windows os
Samsung Galaxy S-II is not a windows phone champ......
It can't be better than Lumia 800.
Suue, 03 Dec 2011Which one's better ?? Nokia Lumia 800 or Galaxy s II ??lumia 800 is the best phone in the world in present...
GO AHEAD NOKIA, NOTHING TO WORRY
Had an Omnia 7 since it came out...excellent phone! No bluetooth transfers and no front facing camera..but video calling can be done with an app called Tango. Now a question....Who needs video calling?..its to expensive! Who really uses it then? Bluetooth file transfers...thought i would miss it..but i havent! Do you really need it too??
Amazing phone if you ask me ....... I'd go for a reliable phone with decent specs, rather than an unreliable device with suped up stats .
sunil, 30 Nov 2011I have been using nokia phones for 10ys. now iam using nokia e72. I am confused to buy ... moreI2d wait to early next year when we get a upgrade for the N8,or now get the Galaxy S2 as this phone is the best out there at the moment,as its accepts memory cards an bluetooth sending,Iphone an Lumia 800 does not let you do this
No doubt superb handset that i have ever seen in mobile history...hardware processing is superb, chat is more hotter than any other device...its time to say goood bye to android
Suue, 03 Dec 2011Which one's better ?? Nokia Lumia 800 or Galaxy s II ??Galaxy s2 if you are a techie...or buy anything if you want something fancy

Ace devices, 03 Dec 2011Nokia Lumia 800 is sell by price RM1600-RM1700!!!!!!WTF!!!!!!A simple WP has to sold by this p... moreAndroid has it's own faults too. The user interface for different android phones is always different. I honestly do not see the hype about android phones as it is pretty much an "anarchy" when it comes to phone OS's. And every time someone brings up a debate on Android phones it's always the Galaxy S2. Why? Clearly because all the other android phones are not up to scratch. i.e. sluggish in performance and lack luster programming etc. Besides, look at when Android started - 2003. No one had heard of it until 2008? 2009?
On the other hand we have Apple's iPhones (which first came out in 2007). It works very well, easy to use, good quality etc. The major flaw with it being the cost for what it is and the aggressive marketing i.e. apple products which require other apple accessories to work with, iTunes etc.
Meanwhile WP7 only started in late 2010. Like every new product it will always have it's initial flaws. But MS has been coming up with several updates which greatly improved the overall UI experience. Is WP7 "perfect" not yet. Will it be? I believe so. One thing I know for sure is that it has an original and easy to use UI - unlike the Android.
Look at the iPhone for example. When it first came out tech geeks were critising it as it lacked many features which your regular PDA's could do. Look at it now - it has become a benchmark for the smart phone market.
Going back to your rhetorical question "Why you all didn't try android/symbian phone?"
Symbian? That was the OS that caused Nokia to shoot themselves in the foot! Which is why they have adopted WP7 in the first place.
I shall drive my point by saying that more/less features does not necessarily equate to better or worse. It is all about the user experience when it comes to technology these days.
