simply put this way
nokia lumia 800 can't match to high-end androids or iphones in specs, but its price is high as some of them...lol
Microsoft holding a event in the USA on November 7th an i bet we get another Nokia phone annouced for there market,i bet its the 900 with a 4.3" Screen,as thats what Nokia are trying to succede in the American phone market
AnonD-13912, 31 Oct 2011I dont want high specs .. I just want high performance .. As long as the mobile is that fast i... moreYou are a wise man. The Lumia 800 is considered the fastest and best WP device in the market so far.
Ender, 30 Oct 2011I couldn't care less about frontal cameras. They're totally useless. This phone is amazing. I guess none of your friends or relatives ve front facing camera phone thats why you dont feel the need of it:-). Its cool to do video chat.. Try it once then you ll come to know why there is a need of front camera:-).
AnonD-28422, 30 Oct 2011First off, I'm assuming that you mean the X7, and the N8 (N800 is WAY older and no competition... moreTHANKS for the advice but i actually meant comparission between X7 and the lumia 800
and hey anybody knows its price in INDIA(lumia 800) ?
Are you guys sure about the Java MIDP 2.1 support on a WP7 device? Why would they allow .jar support if they aren't allowing Qt.
Nokia was best and will remain, Lumina is looking awesome, however all the things depends on the os performance
FPS in video are quiet less which causes poor video recording hence 8MP is a good choice still comparatively it lies far behind in zooming zone only with 3x digital.
Again this piece is also lacking in part of video calling, no front camera!
Internet and music part of Nokia has always been good but in this competitive market more features and higher compatibility are the requirements of customers so lets see what this Mango phone does.
Mango phone for Mango people.
I dont want high specs .. I just want high performance .. As long as the mobile is that fast in browsing itself why do i need a 1 gb ram .. 512 mb ram is enough for us ..
I still cannot understand how some of you are happy with a 4.5 inch screen .. How comfortable it will be ?? The first thing u have to see is whether your mobile will go into your pockets or not .. Otherwise special pants with huge pockets is required .. Please use your common sense ..
Those who need front face camera ..
Those who need 4.5 inch screen ..
Those who need 1000 mb ram ..
This is not the mobile for you ..
This is a mobile for people who don't want unwanted things in their mobiles .. Thats is for us ..
it doenst have swype, nokia n9 does, n9 also have real multitask, skype , front face camera for video calls.
All things considered, smartphones with 3.7" screen is about the perfect size. I believe any cell phone with screen size of 4.5" or bigger are meant for basketball players.
iguano80, 30 Oct 2011why the people who use samsung dont realise that the peaplo who buy nokia DONT LIKE THOSE UGLY... moreI agree 10000000000% with you I think they just make 1 thing better and it is the screen they do make very beautiful looking screens .but clear black display + amoled on the lumia is the same as theirs .
AnonD-22225, 30 Oct 2011guys wanted to ask a question...
which one would be better x7 or n800 & why ???First off, I'm assuming that you mean the X7, and the N8 (N800 is WAY older and no competition for the X7 on features alone). So if that's the case, this is the way that I see it...
Both phones are basically the same. Only differences seem to be:
2) Longer talk time on the N8 vs X7 (5H 50min vs 4H 30min in 3G, respectively)
3) N8 has the higher spec camera (N8 - 12MP vs 8MP)
Regardless of these (minor) differences, I believe that it would all be up to the purchaser (caveat emptor wise).
Talk time's a moot point, since keep any phone to either ear long enough to kill the battery simply is too painful. Sure, might mean that you could take more phone calls, but realistically your battery life is going to change with the strength of your reception. So these two (which also seem to use fairly identical hardware, by the way) are neck and neck on that.
The camera's difference is also a moot point, since I've seen 8MP cameras that worked better than 12MP cameras (not to mention it all coming down to the shooter's eye). What does make a difference is the hardware and software behind the lens. Since these seem to be pretty much the same, let's just hope that the 12MP hardware/software combo is up to the task.
So realistically, it really comes down to which one of these you consider to be the fat chick that you don't want to be seen with? Or if you're into more Rubenesque women, which one that you want to be seen with?
I think that the X7 looks more cutting edge, which is why I'd probably go with that one (since I also like the Xperia Arc). For me, the N8 is a bit more plain Jane, and while it definitely has the goods. The looks just leave me wanting something a little bit more snazzy, if you will. Sorry that it just comes down to this, but realistically my opinion could change if I could play these two head to head. But for right now, I'd have to go with the X7...but sometimes looks get old too...so that being said... happy hunting!;o)
What i like most about this phone and N9 is the camera position. Like this should be camera for a touchscreen phone.
From the specs, it looks pretty decent, but I would have expected a little bit more. The shape seems a little bit more on the been there, done that side. Would have liked/expected something a little bit more along the styling queues of the Xperia Arc. Also, what's up with the memory? 16GB is healthy, but no expansion slot? That just might be the back breaker for this baby, but time will tell what she packs for a punch, in an Android/iPhone market. Hope that the O/S and features are up to the task. Either way, can't wait to lay hands on the phone that will (finally) replace my faithful ZuneHD! ;o)
