Quiapo Dibidi, 17 Oct 2012I came from HTC Desire (Android), and now on iPhone 4 (iOS).. and is planning on buying lumia ... morei too had android earlier...i can say windows phone is as good as any other OS out there...Lumia 800 is really a nice phone with robust build ....things i really like with my lumia800 is its bright display and nice unibody...5 months used still looks like brand new. i can easily compare my lumia 800 with iphone4...the display is simply great...only thing which i hate is the lack of customisation that is available in andriods...zune is a big head ache tho iam used to it now...but still it is stupid... app market is ok...not great like ios or android..but still u can get all the necessary apps from windows marketplace,. most of the apps n games on WP are costly..and i miss many nice games which are available on ios n androids..hope this will be usefull for u

when making a call how do u hang up a call???? my phone wont let me hang up? and then my screen flashes..does anyone else have this problem?
I would like to share my views on this phone after using for abt 4 months.
General: its an eye candy. The best of hand set users will initially get bowled over by the looks especially with the Black(i also have a Batman merchandise which adds value asthetically)
Specifications: from a traditional nokia user, the interface is little tricky. Full marks , how ever to the display and the touch features. But I have some challenges when compared to my E63.( which i believe the best phone for all purpose)
1.Contacts: SNS works well. too many buttons to go to contact. Also, search it not simple. For new contact, you will have to save the numbr first, then by name(confusing while entering multiple).
Copy paste functions doesn't work. EG., : you cant copy a number and put into a dial list. Also, you cant edit/makes changes .(very annoying)
2. Messaging: key board feels fresh. But sending SMS to many is a huge task! NO copy from sms to other feature like contact. NO search option in inbox. No Sorting methods.(symbian is much simpler easier and friendly. not to take away credit from Google's OS-its better than WINDOWS)
3. Gallery: is neat and tidy. display is brilliant. camera pics can be quickly synced to SKY drive which is smooth. But no privacy feature anywhere.(pics even include your FB, Favs, G+ etc hence all are visible in tiles)
4. Bluetooth: cant be used for anything except contact transfer from ur old phone(u will hate it if u r a android/symbian user)
5.Apps: are too bulky, and are not free. the basic app in android is chargeable here..eg., angry birds, shazam etc) NO FUN...
6.Battery life: better compared to similar andriod devices..Nokia factor may be..
7.emails: good and fast
8. Map and navigation: though nokia has best maps/drive feature, its not simple for layman user. Also for India, it needs lots of improvement. Unlike Google where traffic is really heavy, minute places are often missed in nokia maps.
buy this one, only if u think u can help Nokia recover! Nokia care themselves are not sure how an update works.. I had to personally figure out!!Nothing great in owning this piece as there are many options.Nokia product might have life than compared to samsung/LG but with out the patches/updates any hard ware in junk..
nobody, 14 Oct 2012Which phone is better ??? Nokia Lumia 800 or HTC RADAR !???Lumia 800
Not friendly use because it only takes micro simcard.
I almost break simcard holder.
