AnonD-1225, 03 Mar 2013Am I the only one who prefers the shorter (4.1 mm difference) and a little wider (1 mm differe... moreNo, I like its size and feel in the hand too, and I think the placement of volume buttons and power button on the right side is spot on and very natural to use, its the best on any phone I've used.
However, sometimes call quality seems below par (unusual for a Nokia) wireless seems slow sometimes and I haven't managed to get NFC to work with either my older Nokia C7 or my NFC headset. Anyone else experience this?

Confused, 02 Mar 2013I was all set to buy Lumia 820 in few weeks, but Nokia's announcement of L720 has really upset... morelumia 720 has got 512 mb of ram in comparison to 1gb ram of lumia 820.
Lumia 720 will be perfect for u if u r not a heavy gamer or else go for lumia 820.
Because hd games in windows phone 8 are not compatible with the phones which hai lower than 1gb ram.
Eg. Asphalt 7.

GadgetLover, 02 Mar 2013I would go with the better CPU and RAM in the 820 cos that will mean the phone will be better ... moreExactly the same reason why my scales are tilted hugely in favor of Lumia 820. Better Ram and processor will at least hold good for a year or two. I don't want to be left behind when MS announces next generation OS. Think I'll go for L820.
Am I the only one who prefers the shorter (4.1 mm difference) and a little wider (1 mm difference) 820 in terms of size? Yes, the 720 is thinner (0.9 mm difference) but the 820 feels really good in the hand.

Confused, 02 Mar 2013I was all set to buy Lumia 820 in few weeks, but Nokia's announcement of L720 has really upset... moreI was also confused regarding the same issue, the front facing camera, battery life and low-light performance of the rear camera on the 720 made me really think. But then a few days later Asphalt 7 was announced and Xbox version currently requires 1 GB of RAM in order to run. In the future we might get games/apps/updates that need the extra ram and superior processing speed.
I visited a mobile store and had a hands-on experience with the 820, buying one coming Friday!
my thoughts exactly
Confused, 02 Mar 2013I was all set to buy Lumia 820 in few weeks, but Nokia's announcement of L720 has really upset... moreI would go with the better CPU and RAM in the 820 cos that will mean the phone will be better compatible with future upgrades and apps than the 720, although the 720 seems to be quite good value for money. That depends on how the price it though, I would estimate it would be around 75% of the cost of the 820 at least, and since the 820 is getting cheaper, it may even be priced closer.
