Anonymous, 21 Jan 2013Hi all, just to seek your opinion on Lumia 820.I'm a android user. How's the switch from andro... moreI switch from my Android tablet phone (Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 3g) to Lumia 820. Basically because the tablet is too large and Android not that stable and slow at least on my Galaxy Tab. I had to restore my tab last week and lost all my saves games etc. Thankfully apps can be reinstalled on Android.
One of the things I like about my 820 is the camera which takes good picture and it has the ability to add "lenses" like plug ins for a browser. It means there will be more third-party lenses for the stock camera app and you don't have to open different camera apps.

But I read tips then I get around 14 hours with Whatsapp on, and email delivery as arrive. You should enable the battery saving option but choose only enable when battery is low. Then disable "other notification" under setting. Disable the tap & send (NFC) feature. If you want more juices disable the location setting and screen brighness set to low.
is someone here having issues with this phone when you put in a micro sd card? i bought this phone and bought a 16gb microsd card, started using the microsd card and my phone started freezing.

Anonymous, 21 Jan 2013Hi all, just to seek your opinion on Lumia 820.I'm a android user. How's the switch from andro... moreWP8 is totally different from android. For one, it lacks the customization (wallpaper/widgets etc), you can only customize the lock screen wallpaper and the live tile layout/position. Secondly, the apps are very limited unlike android or iOS, though some apps are pretty good. Third, the OS itself has many restrictions which may be eased later but limit functionality (for example no file system manager, so opening books etc have to be from cloud storage, not from device itself)
That said, its very different to the competion, very slick and good looking, and is a delight to use if you can live with its restrictions. Android is more functional, WP8 is something different.

Hi all, just to seek your opinion on Lumia 820.I'm a android user. How's the switch from android to windows device?
Do you think windows phone is good for student's use ?Is there any free voice recorder app for note taking during lecture ?
I know Lumia series don't have HDMI port. To all the techies out there, is there any possibility that we can still be able to connect to HDTV using this phone? Like USB to HDMI converter or something similar to it?

Won't run out of space? Try telling these poor guys that.
This 'Other' folder is a BIG problem, one that MS won't admit to because they don't know how to fix it.

Today mine decreased by 500 MB for some reason. But unless you have a ton of apps, you wont run out of space. No one has yet.
One problem I found is that sms takes up a lot of characters, even using the "reduced" setting. What's a 160 character sms in other phones is just 70 here.So sms costs more for the same message. That sucks.
san antony, 18 Jan 2013hi frnd can anyone tell me that whether this phone support 1080p viedios?Yes it support full hd
i really like and want to buy this fone, but after doing some research on the net, there's one thing that bothers me. And that thing is about the fone's other folder, which i suppose stores data like cache n watnot, n it seems like a lot of windows fone owners are troubled by its mysterious behaviour.
