I have about 30 additional apps (not counting built in apps) and 7 games installed on my Lumia 820, and my internal memory space is now 1.4 GB. So if I install a dozen apps more, it will basically be full. The 920 maybe a better option in this regard, but that said, I am not looking to fill my phone with apps.
Also be warned that Maps are stored in the phone memory, so if you download a lot of maps, again the internal memory will suffer.

If, as you state, you are going to use the phone for playing games then forget the Lumia 820; the battery is dire! For some unknown reason Nokia fitted a lousy 1650mAh one in this phone which is woefully underpowered for it. WP8 sucks the life out of the battery anyway, and I struggle to get a full days use out of a single charge just using it normally; so playing games on it will reduce that to about half a day. Nokia should hang their head in shame for fitting such a low powered battery in what could have been a nice phone.
Its launched in India at 30000 .

Everything about phone looks good for my requirements and I am thinking of buying it. Though I have one question in mind, is the 8GB internal memory enough to install apps ? I am not sure how much memory is available to the user after the system apps, etc.
I am thinking on these lines coz these days there are lot of apps (esp. games) which are huge in size.
What do u think folks ?

That said however, I have a Lumia 820 and I have never run out of battery life during regular use, it lasts me atleast morning to evening no matter how I use it. It has a battery saver too which disables background tasks, and on some occasions I have been able to charge once in 36 hours. So its battery life is pretty good, especially its standby life. A software update coming in Feb 2013 will reportedly improve this further, but I find the Lumia 820's battery life much better than most Androids I've used.
